Not sure. I thought he would be back with the team last month. He would have been a big help at the sf position.
 



The time has come for new basketball leadership.. President Ross please do what's best for MyASU..
 
LewJack will have ALL of his starters returning next season, which includes the SWAC Freshman of the Year, One of the top scorers in the league and one of the best big men in the league. He'll have at least 4 scholarships open where he can add needed depth. Next year should be the year that we make some noise in the conference.

In that case, we'll (Texas Southern) will be back next season. We lost the 2016-2017 SWAC Player of the Year Zach Lofton not to eligibility but to transferring to New Mexico. We lost another helluva guar

Talent?

We would have been ROLLIN this year had Zach Lofton (New Mexico) and Jalen McCloud (East Tennessee State) had not transferred and another major starter Kevin Scott went down in game #7 before conference play with a knee injury.

Don't get me started on Trae Jefferson, Trayvon Reed and Lamont Walker suspensions.

This could have been a special season with all of those guys back but injuries and transfers are a part of the game.

Davis is so pissed with how this season had unfolded that he's committed to next year's season already (y'all messing up his bonus money in 2017-2018).

When I say "Davis is bringing in talent..." I mean he's doing it every year. I expected TSU to be better this season than there were last season.

I remember Trayvon Reed as an 8th grader playing at a local Jr high school. He has never stayed at any school more than a year. TXSU is his 3rd college. Mike has been successful with transfers. Is this the model that other SWAC coaches should implement?

I keep telling you it is his coaching style. He ain't winning next year either.

It does not take a whole lot to be really competitive on the women's side. Two maybe three good players can take a woman's program a long way. UConn is 7 or 7 deep. None of the women's programs go deeper than 7...after that the drop in talent is quite noticible.

Our problem on the women's side is we can never get more than one kinda good player at a time.
