Jackie called the post game show? :lmao:

Oh my damn! I WISH I could hear!

Yes Nita, I called. You know I am not a punk ass whiner, but I pretty pissed about the game. If we lose, we lose, I take it and go on. But this took the cake for me.

For the record Sperm, I have heard the complaints of everyone (Prairie View just like week) and I always go to the rule and I write the Commish office every week to complain about game-deciding piss poor ass calls, not just when it affects my school's team. Poor officiating makes our conference look even more coonish and it is embarassing to me.

The refs blew it when they didn't call the lost of down on the 2nd down play and the penalty on Southern and allowing Pine Bluff to rekick violates the rules also.

They have been giving away games all year. To call them incompetent is an insult to incompetent people.

Hey, I just read what Nita said! She said them Mutt and Jeff, Amos and Andy! LAWD! :emlaugh:

Yep, life goes on. I'm having me a nice 3rd round of Crown and yes P~ I'm mad as a scrimma goat.

Big Thunder called me to find out what a scrimma goat was!

Eric just called and I cussed him out with all the HIGH ROAD BS! The entire broadcast team is cracking up about the scrimma goat!!! :lmao:

The SWAC office will find a way to justify any mistake that is made by the refs. The sad part about this BS is the SWAC office supports this behavior! The same ref mistakes is going to be made in the SWAC Championship game.

It's unfortunate, though. They game was good, and competitive, until the end. At that point, the refs turned it into your typical SWAC NESS.

I tell ya, them nigs would fugg up a one car funeral.

A one car funeral, that is funny:lmao::lmao:

That is the sad part of the story!

On a serious note. Actually the called was correct after the blocked field goal attempt as for who gets the ball.

What comes into question is 1) The refs clearly giving PB a fifth down by not changing the down after the spike ball.

2) The clock shouldn't have stop running because there was no change of possession

3) Even if it did after the block punt and the struggle for possession of the ball there is no way in the world that there should have been any time left on the clock

Bluedog,

4. The 15 yard penalty on SU was not fair. The kids assumed the time ran out(proper assumption). Now they can't celebrate. Just wrong!

SS, what did they say on the show, I am in Pine Bluff so I cant catch it

They said the clock did not run, that there were indeed Southern players on the field, but so were PB players and their coach who assumed the game was over. They also said that when it was 2nd down and the QB spiked the ball that the officials called 2nd down and call it 3rd down. The ball was kicked on what should have been the 4th down and the clock should have continue to run. They were calling that before the blocked it. They also said the officials met all together at midfield to discuss it. Eric said on the sidelines the SU coaches were trying to tell the line judge that it should be 3rd down, not 2nd down.

WOW I didn't listen (or see) this one but if they really gave the ball back to the offense after a celebration penalty I have no words. :(

Didn't Georgia get called for unsportsmanlike conduct after having the entire team run on the field? From what you guys are saying, the kick was blocked on 3rd down, UAPB recovered the ball BEHIND the Line of Scrimmage, yet SU players ran on the field and celebrated. Therefore, a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct is JUSTIFIED and the game CAN NOT END ON A DEFESIVE PENALTY.

This does not sound like a bad call, more of POOR COACHING. Pete should have had more control of HIS HOUSE.

Actually it wasn't 3rd down, it was 4th down. The refs allowed PB to call have 2 second down plays.

The flag's validity is of no issue to me. It is the ENFORCEMENT of the penalty. Again... I did NOT hear or see what happened so I am going off what I am reading.

How many seconds were left after the kick? The game cannot end on a defensive penalty but if there is no time on the clock (as it seems you are saying) there cannot be a celebration penalty at all.

And when did what goes on at Georgia start being the standards for what happens in the SWAC?

Secondly the call was made after everybody in the stadium (with common sense) thought the game was over and PB coach ran onto the field politicking (sp )for a call while his players were leaving along with the refs.

But really it's no big deal it's just another loss. I think most people on here are simply voicing what they and many others have all year and have move beyond petty self serving position, (especially when it doesn't change your position in the conference) in hope to create a better SWAC

Here is what i saw on the first down when the ball was spiked it actually didn't count because it was spiked before the ball was spotted for play therefore it wasn't a down , there was about 35 sec on the clock after the first down catch by jones. this play didn't count so when the ball was spotted the clock started and ran down to 25 secs before pb realized what was going on and called time out they too thought the ball had been spiked. on first down after the timeout they ran left with the tailback. on second down they ran wallace towards the middle of the field and let the clock run to 10 before calling their second time out. on third down they attempted the fg but because the ball didn't cross the LOS on the kick and pb recovered it, it is there ball at the spot recovered pb then used their final timeout. pb then kicked the winning fg on fourth down . Game over. No fifth down

Yep........No time should have been left. PB coaches would have had to call time out but they had no time. Hell they were walking across the field to shake hands with Pete. Oh well. It aint like this game cost us a shot at the SCG. PB needed that win more than we did. So I will take the high road. It is what it is. The players know they won that game fair and square. I hope Pete told them that too.

You know what? Actually I believe that's probably an accurate account of what actually happen, because I wasn't there and you're very precise in your account of what happen.

Having said that the refs still have to answer for stopping the clock because everyone still thought the game was over included them (because if they didn't they would have blown a whistle) and why if they penalized one team they didn't penalized them all because both teams players and coaches (not eligible players and coaches) were on the field.
