Are People Monogamus By Nature?

I read an article by Diahnn Caroll when she was on top,and something that she said really stuck with me. She said "men and women are not monogamus by nature". You know in a way she may be right. Because everyone loves variety whether it's food, clothes, music, etc. But what about when it comes to significant others?

of course not, you have to submit yourself to a standard to do that,
and some people don't have that abilty

One man is enough for me... once we get into serious relationship mode.
But if I'm single, I see no problem with variety.

we are not anything by nature but man and woman. we are born with choices. u choose to stay with one person or you choose to not stay with one person

There is no better feeling than busting a nut. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. Cee dog bust nuts, cumming is a must. Yeah yeah yeah :sperm:

It has been proven scientifically that male genetics wish to mate with multiple women.

I have never met one guy that only sexually desired one woman, whether he was being faithful or not.

Also, I have only met one guy who has been faithful his entire life.

Most of the guys I know in relationships, cheat, most of the married guys I know, cheat.

we all desire to be with mutiple people that we find attractive. but we have a choice to do it or not.

Most animals are not monogamous. About 5% maybe less mate for life. I really think that man falls into that 95% category of being non-monogamous but we attempt to mate for life and cause a lot of problems.

I agree. I was just responding to the original question. I don't think that is the natural order of things. Just think it is something we learn to do.

Yea but the choice is a mental thing.. not by nature which the topic asks. People choose to be monogamous because that's the way we've been taught to be over time.. not because that's the way our bodies want to be. And thats why in reality you have probably less than 20% of people that go a lifetime in a monogamous relationship without straying at some point. Honestly its probably more like 10%, IF that.

Hell, I say 5%..
and if you look at cultures where they really supress sexuality, the men end up fugging young boys. (Catholic Church, Middle East)

Yeah, but you can say the same thing about the Christian church or for that matter all religions that preach abstinence before marriage.

Sex is a natural action required for the continued survival of a race. The body makes preparations to begin sexual activity without any help. Natural sexual urges have been proven by science. The body does not make preparations for one to kill another person, so don't know how one equates the two.

On another note. Man at our nature are pretty savage beast. Remove basic commodities of life and we will revert back to savagery. We see evidence of this everyday around the globe in impoverished areas. We saw how easily behavior degraded after Katrina.
