Anyone ever do any of these marketing, team based, pyramid, networking hustles?

Of course I don't a check for doing "nothing" and I can recognize my company's org chart. However, what you missed is that unlike an MLM, I don't have to bring anyone in (i.e. sell the MLM to other people in order to get paid) or try to push the company's products. Hell, I work for an insurance company that I don't even have insurance with.

Insurance company huh?

Insurance companies MLM. They pay to get started, and hope to work their way up to where they can get other agents working under them.

Now, you may be an adjuster or some other type of employee who is either overhead, or you work to save the company money (like and adjuster). So in essence you won't see it the way the agents see it.

I'm aware that most companies (including mine) operate somewhat like MLMs. However, my point is that my ultimate role isn't the same as someone who is signing up to sell Noni, Prepaid Legal, or any of that crap. A customer may decide to stick around or switch to us based partially on my claim handling, but my salary and reviews aren't based on that since there is no way to really measure it without the customer directly stating it. On the other hand, a person in a MLM that never brings in other reps will not survive. There may be similar structures between companies and MLMs, but there is often a very different set of roles and responsibilities. Also, I knew going in that I'm not going to get rich sitting at my desk. Conversely, a lot of fools that fall for MLMs mistakenly think that they are going to be able to quit their jobs in a few months or years. I have yet to see that happen with the folks that get into them around these parts.

Bilbrew, hush.

Just hush.

You don't get a check twice a month for doing nothing. Either you produce something of worth to that company or you are out the door.

If you have never set up a "power team", then you better believe your manager has and is responsible for getting you all to deliver automatically whatever you do. Or they don't get a check either. A check that is bigger than yours. And so on ... up ... the ... multiple ... levels ... of the ... ladder. The ladder that is your company's organizational structure.

:|
Perfectly said.

I see what Bilbrew is saying but honestly, go up a few position levels in that compnay and look down and all around. You'll see the MLM model perfectly...

You have a better chance selling dope out of the Police Precinct for life, than becoming rich off of MLM. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me........ A fools paradise is to get rich quick.
Remember though that MLMs don't "work." YOU work MLMs.

Whether you get in early or late you can make money. Even if you don't make as much as the 1st few guys who started it (500k/yr) you can still make as much as the other successful folks who came in late (100k/yr).

My Primerica friend made 200k last year. Still more than most 9-5 jobs & takes less of your time.

People used to tell me those "real estate investment programs don't work. They're just get rich quick schemes." But who wants to get rich slow?
And why not try it since others have done it? Heck, every family needs at least 1 millionaire. Why not try a great business model and let it be you?

Sorry, I don't work MLMs. Thanks for trying though. I am also a small business owner, so MLMs don't fool me. It takes hard work to be a business man. It doesn't happen quick or over night. It takes time and energy. Not get rich quick schemes.

I'm going to be real with you here. I can't speak for anyone else on the thread, but you have always struck me as an opportunist that will do anything for a buck. Personally, I wouldn't trust you to sell me a glass of water in the desert, much less an MLM.

I'm going to be real with you here. I speak for myself and myself only. But, given the knowledge of business that you've shown in this thread, I'll bet any amount of money that nevaehinvesting can buy and sell your broke ass. And ask for his change.

Wow, I didn't know that nevaehinvesting had a hype man.

I don't have the time or desire to play "big bank take little bank" with anyone on here. Just know that my wife and I are doing well and aren't living check-to-check.

I've also noticed that you have a penchant for trying to come at me sideways. I'm a grown man and don't have time for games. However, this Gwinnett County resident has no problem with showing my Inglewood roots when the need arises.
