Another article about new AAMU coach

Coach Jones did just fine against the SWAC teams we played while I was at SCSU. We beat JSU in the 93' CCC. We beat GSU in the 94' Heritage Bowl. The only SWAC team we never beat was Southern. He'll do fine.

What does that have to do with the price of butter? Just because Jones was on the staff as South Carolina State and they won some games during that time does not mean that he will win at A&M.

Wasn't Latria Jones supposed to be the reason Pine Bluff was winning? Then when he gets the head job at Valley, he struggles.

Wasn't Hughes on the JSU staff when they won the championship in 1996? Then when he gets the head job at JSU, he disappoints.

He might prove to be a good coach...time will tell!

MB, do you want me to answer your question?

The price of butter is very important when selecting a football coach. You have Kraft, Parkway, BlueBonnet which is a spin off of butter.

But when you purchase Land O Lakes, you have real butter.

MD, leave that Brother alone! He didn't expect you to answer that.....

Hey Mike,

I might mess with you but I know better than to mess with "Grady"...

Seems like a good choice at coach. The guy does have an impressive resume/background and will probably be a good fit for A&M. I'm sure he's recruited the region while at Morehouse and SC State and has made some contacts with the coaches.

The important thing now is to bring in some quality assistants and get on track. I honestly hope this works out, we need strong teams to make us a stronger conference.

Some people don't like others to have in friends and just plain against other folks establishing relationships. By chance Jones just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Coop never established any type of relationships with his coaches. He brought in people he did not know. To this day, I don't have any idea how he selected Jacobs, but I do know that he was warned about Klaiss. There was no trust involved which caused the downfall of Coop. I hope we are establishing the kind of relationships within the staff that will enable us to have a successful program.

As we have stated before, we are workning on it and not standing still. There are only 3 1/2 team in the SWAC so we don't have to go very far to be the #1 team.

For the record TigerPride, L.C. Cole and company has beaten JSU (4) times in a row. (2) times at TSU and (2) times at ASU. By the time JSU plays ASU this year, Kent will be on crutches and the Cole brothers will make it (5) in a row. Let's face it, JSU will have to fight for their lives just to come in third place in the SWAC-East. With your murderous schedule, your lucky if you win 4-5 games. I predict that this year will be Hughes last. Winning against L.C. will dictate Hughes future. (So send him packing)
:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :( :( :( :(

Hornetswarm,

How many people predicted JSU would have a losing season last year?? You all can try to count the losses before the season begins if you want but we will be no less than 3-2 coming out of September. We have NEVER played a weak schedule. Just hope that LC schedules JC Smith and Clark again to get get more than 6 wins.

This is _ _ _.
:(

but at least you aint making your normal, crazy, stupid predictions of an undefeated jsue season.

And JW is still your coach!

Even after the 61 and the 45 and the 64

He's still your coach!

:lmao: :lmao:

MH,

I said no worse than 3-2. I am going to give one to USM based on coaching, depth and if nothing else the refs. So no worse give only a maybe loss to NCAT, TNState, or N'western. If we had a schedule like ASU, we could easily be undefeated. I wish we could have replaced TNState and NCAT with D2's like LC did . JSU would have been 9-2 last year and we still would not have bought it. You all are as fooled as fooled can be.

After USM, JSU could go undefeated. How's that??
