And Smiley was there at SU for the game.....on the bench. So again.. how does this stop #3 stuff work when our bench can run up 400 yards on you?

We didn't even have to sick Hamm on them and he is a nasty hard rusher and they have to deal with him and whoever else our coaches get out of the woods of east Texas tonight

PVAMU is doing something right so I wouldn't count the chicks before the eggs hatch. The Bama St game will be tough. The Alcorn game will be very, VERY interesting since we have coaching staff that knows their system and players inside and out. The architect of their offense is our HC and knows their QB/RB/WRs quite well. I'm sure he knows their weakness(es) as well and can easily gameplan for it.

You seem to forget that Simmons and our DC went head to head everyday. I went to a lot of those practices. Some days Simmons some days Pecoraro. He never dominated daily.
 
Now that this week is out the way. 3 Teams got eliminated from SCG consideration. That is MVSU, UAPB, Texas Southern.
This is the way I look at it for the remainder of the year..

WEST
Grambling 60% (TXSU, at UAPB, Southern)
Southern 30% (Alcorn, AAMU, at UAPB, Grambling)
Prairie View - 10% (at Alcorn, Jackson St. UAPB, at Alabama St.) Needs Grambling to lose 1

EAST
Alcorn - 50% (at SU, Prairie View, at TXSU, AAMU, at Jackson St.)
AAMU - 30% (Alabama St., Texas Southern, at Southern, MVSU, at Alcorn)
Jackson St. - 15% (at Prairie View, at MVSU, Alabama St., Alcorn) Need Alcorn to loses 2 games with 1 of those games against Jackson St.
Alabama St.- 5% (AAMU, Prairie View, at Jackson St.) Needs Alcorn to lose 3 games

Now that week 9 is out the way. Valley is guaranteed to finish 5th in the EAST. Southern and AAMU went from controlling their own destiny to needing some help.

Alcorn and GSU will play for the championship. I just hope we can win 2 of our last 3.
 
Yep. We are playing to improve for next year's run. Can't go to the SCG every year. Just need to get the young guys even more playing time.
 
As I said on Facebook, realistically only 3 teams are still alive. Grambling, Alcorn and PV (I know JSU is still alive but I don't see them winning out). PV needs help. If they lose to Alcorn, it's just about all but a wrap in the East because I don't see AAMU or TSU beating Alcorn plus PV would have 2 losses and a loss to Grambling. They could be 8-3 and nothing to show for it (and probably 100% sure they won't get a playoff bid).

It wasn't about that, it was the lack of recognition by the coaching staff to see what PV was doing throughout the entire game. Great offensive coaching by PV, but poor reaction by the SU staff.

Me too right now... but I am still hoping JSU can run the table. Even if we do, Alcorn will still win the division because I don't see them losing to PV. I have been hearing about Footman... man! Sit Gibbs down NOW!
