All-Time NBA Legend Teams

What about the Knicks with

Marc Jackson
John Starks? what about Clyde Frazier
Allen Houston? what about Earl Monroe
Patrick Ewing
Willis Reed

You also forgot "Dollar" Bill Bradley too. And also Bernard King.

Surprised no one tried to put together a Celtics squad...

Bob Cousy
John Havlichek
Larry Bird
Kevin McHale
Bill Russell

People forget Zeke balled super-hard in an era where guards got killed going into the hole. And Zeke was the best point guard of his era not named Ervin Johnson.

Guards didn't get killed every night, but hand checking was legal. It was only a few teams that played dirty and Zeke was on the dirtiest. Heck out west it was all showtime and fast breaks.

Key words ... in the West ...

The East played a much more physical brand of ball. Hell, why you think Jordan and Pippen got in the weight room for and worked on their jumpers? LOL The Celtics played rough, the Pistons played rough, the Bulls played rough, the 76ers played rough ...

Pierce over Hondo?
Garnett over McHale?

Really? C'mon bruh... McHale at his prime was considered the best 4 in history (until Tim Duncan took that title) ... Hondo was that dude.

No way you would pick McHale over KG. KG has been just as good as Duncan. Both are first ballot HOF. Duncan has just played on better teams. And Pierce over Havy is a no brainer. Havy played against slow white boys.

Those guys played rough/dirty against each other. Nobody else played Jordan like the Pistons. Same way with the Pistons-Celtics. Other than the Jordan shot on Craig Ello and the Cavs, those other teams really don't get mentioned.

I wouldn't say the Bulls played the same physical style of defense those other teams in the East did at least post-Sloan/Van Lier.

The Bulls had a great defense with Jordan and Pippen running all over the place on the wings with their athleticism, but nowhere close to the style Boston, Detroit or Philly played when Barkley and Mahorn where out there.

McHale, until Duncan came along, was considered standard by which all PFs were judged.

That means nothing. KG would take McHale's lunch money and you know it. The only thing that separates KG and Duncan are better teams/championships. Go check the stats. Duncan got an opportunity to play with and learn from David Robinson. He also played four years in college. KG was a franchise player right out of high school. He had way more on his shoulders. Duncan always had great teams around him.

Playing alongside Robinson helped, but Duncan at 21, was the best player on a champion. And even after Robinson retired, Duncan was still the premiere player at his position.

And McHale schooled guys on the block with his assortment of post moves. He was a sage in the paint. He could score on you at will in a number of ways and then shut you down on defense.

Shaq said the All-Time Lakers team would beat the Bulls team by 50. What do you all think? What about the Celtics? Spurs?

All-Time Lakers
Magic Johnson
Kobe Bryant
Elgin Baylor
Shaq O'Neil
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

All-Time Bulls

Derrick Rose
Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen
Dennis Rodman
Horace Grant
The problem is that Shaq would not be on the All-Time Lakers team...but it would beat the Bulls team by more than 50.

Who do you think taught KG in Minnesota? Kevin McHale. That's who drafted him. He worked with KG a many days in Minneapolis. McHale was a beast.

No Jordan led team would get beat by 50. LOL. They might not win. But no way I see them getting whooped that badly. Pippen and Jordan would at least lock some folks down.

True, Jordan would will them to lose by 15-20 points...

Think about it...folks putting Kobe at SG on their Lakers five, which means Jerry West (The Logo) is coming off the bench. Plus, I would put Wilt in the Lakers five ahead of Kareem ... Wilt was in his prime with the Lakers while Kareem, while still effective, was in decline with the Lake Show.

Either way you slice it, that all-time Lakers squad is super-nice.

I've seen a Jordan-led team get down by 30 to the Nuggets -- a far less talented team than the all-time Lakers.

Wilt's best years were behind him when he got to the Lakers, but he was still great. Kareem was truly in his prime when he got to the Lakers. He got there fairly early in his career.

He would have been geeked to play an all time great team if they could have in their prime. That Denver game was a regular season game. Who knows if it came off a back to back.

You're right. Kareem got traded in 75 to the Lakers while still in his prime. But he was an absolute monster in Milwaukee when he came into the league.

And the Bulls would still get dragged by the Lakers. LOL!

I'll replace Ebok with Worthy

Playing along side a mature adult like Robinson had a major impact on Duncan's career. Duncan learned how to be a professional. KG damn near had free reins from day 1.

No way. Scottie Pippen would have guarded Magic Johnson. That would have been a good azz match up.
