I actually wasn't referring to that. I was referring to how they allegedly responded to the possible hiring of Hobson.

On the other hand though, if the shoe fits but Jag79, how do you guys act with Grambling?

No jsu thinks its the white man to Alcorn. Hence, the reason Get Ready said what he said. The problem with it is that jsu doesn't understand that they will get played too by the 'white man'. When that topic came up it was so many jsu folks actually being okay with the 'merger' as if it wouldn't diminish them or apply to them. As soon as they realized that jsu would no longer stand for Jackson State University...they realized that 'oh snap the white folks trying to get us too'.

I agree and I understand where you are coming from with this post. We "blacks" for so long have complained about not getting our fair share of opportunities with the PWC now that things have reversed some are acting the same way as some white counterparts. But I will say, this is not all alumni that feel that way about Hopson, just a select few of the old heads that mind will not let them see their ignorance.

To comment to Get Ready comment. His may be a joke but some strongly feel that way in abolishing Alcorn and Valley for their own gain. We must remember there is power in numbers. We can stand stronger as three than we will as one.

Wow....huh? Brave...GR never looked at it like that. So are you saying that YOU think white people are superior therefore YOU think that JSU thinks that they are white and that makes them superior to yall? Hmmmm that interesting. Usually its the Bamas that see themselves as inferior to whites.

But at any rate...Alcorn and Valley should merge with JSU to make a big happy HBCU system in Mississippi.

Hell you can call it Jackson State Lorman campus/Itta Bena campus for all I care. We can streamline the system to make it more efficient. Once this republican congress digs in after Obama gets re-elected, you are going to hope for a merger instead of a closure. And this time, we aint marching for yall

listen to this cat? This dude acts as if Alcorn didn't literally save jsu from financial ruin at one point in our history. This guy acts as if jsu will remain 'Jackson State' lol. You are sadly mistaken. This is the problem I speak of with jsu people.

Its the Tiger Woods syndrome. Dude goes around and says...I'm not black. While black folks are sitting there saying really Tiger? Tiger you really believe that? jsu (Tiger Woods) says yes & goes around thinking that being black doesn't apply to him. But when the ish hits the fan...(Tiger Woods/jsu) is having a press conference apologizing to white people, making pathetic commercials saying he sorry because of a Family issue. Why did Tiger Woods have to hold a press conference & apologize for a personal issue?

Its amazing how we are are all in the same boat, unless the NCAA is imposing an unfair rule and the SWAC office expeditiously unnecessarily RETROs a rule and bans JSU from the SCG. At that point Alcorn wasnt in the same boat with JSU. So if JSU EVER gets the chance to abstain from helping Alcorn, I hope we do.

:lol: How are you going to get upset with Alcorn because jsu was caught doing a poor job academically? Its not our fault GR...so stop blaming us. jsu has to handle issues with its students athletes. That was not our responsibility.

I've been through this entire ordeal with you jsu teegers in the late 90's. I don't have to re-produce a record of what my Alumni/University has done in its rich history. The record stands for itself & Alcorn continues to produce stars & greatness.

P.S. yes I do hate jackson state.

Dude we already rescued you guys once before...issues like this....Football? is minute to the things these two schools have meant to each other over the years. We shouldn't have to step in on that too.
