You have? Alcorn has beaten maybe 2 winning JSU teams that I can remember. 2006(Comegys first year) and 2013(when Alcorn won 9 games). Usually good JSU + Bad Alcorn = JSU blowout.

Just say "bad" and leave out the "vanilla"! I was of the impression that Alcorn's game plan since Footman has been your qb was to let him and your RB's run over ppl. Your qb looked a little shaky and unsure of himself today and faced one of the better defenses in the conference on paper. Today we put it on the field and if we had anything resembling a mediocre offense today, it would have been an embarrassing loss for Alcorn. Nevertheless, congrats to Alcorn on your victory today and good luck next week!

This is the worst game I ever saw Alcorn have offensively. On another note JSU do have good fans but the most classless game day announcer that I have ever heard in my life. He pulled this same stunt in 2011 when JSU was blowing us out. I understand that Alcorn is your rival but there are some things that you don't do as an game day announcer.

(1) Throwing band smack over the speaker.
(2) When Alcorn had the ball under center he kept playing a feature having his defensive players saying shut them down
(3) When our band did the big girl feature in our show when we left the field he said over the speaker "Let me introduce you to Jenny Craig"

He apologized for the big girl comment but sounded like he was made to do so.

Yeah I don't like him at times as our PA announcer. At times he acts a little immature

An that's fine but he did it everytime we were under center about to hike the ball no matter what down it was. The band's get penalized for that and it's no different than what he was doing.
 
I'm sure Meyers shot that announcer a nice text after the Jenny craig comment. That was tasteless and many jsu fans around me didn't like that. She had nothing to do with our rivalry smh. That shut it down crap was working my nerves!
 
Folks have gotten as soft as toilet paper from wiping a newborn babies ass.

Trash talking is apart of the game. If you can't handle it, DON'T GO TO THE GAME smh. Just soft.
 
I heard the Alcorn announcers had to mention about the refs getting on that PA announcer for artificial noise (like they have to get on the bands (not just JSU but all SWAC bands))
 



I actually think the "Shut It Down" Chant on the P.A. is a neat idea. It has creativity and tries to fire up the home crowd. Schools do it all over the country with their chants. However it stops when the offense breaks the huddle. I hear chants of Defense etc even in the NFL.
