True story: I'm asleep in bed, and the phone rings at about 2:30 am. It was @kellis. And she goes, "Kenn, I just called to let you know the board is down." I'm saying to myself, "Damn, kellis really did just call me at 2:30 in the morning to tell me the board is down. But I'm not about to get up now, I'll try to fix it tomorrow. Besides, I don't want to wake up the Mrs."
After hanging up the phone, thinking the coast is clear. The Mrs. goes, "I just know some woman didn't just call here at 2:30 in the morning talking about that damn board being down."
I was like, "Oh, damn! How do I explain this?"
Kellis call me at 2:30 am we going to have a conversation about fugging or phone sex or something. LOL….yall know DSN ain’t lying.

In my early days, I told a TMI story on here about an ex. Nevertheless, she was on this board (mainly a lurker) and read it. A couple of months pass, I am back in jackson and she walk up to me and show me the actual post (I deleted it since then). I apologized but she said it sparked some memories and feelings... whew...
Second one, some unnamed brothers shared a story about a promiscuous young lady from campus on here that was kind of wild. A few weeks later, I go to a game and one of my boys is boo'd up with her. At first I wasn't going to say anything but then we went a few cups of crown royal in and I kept asking him if he was sure. Next day, he kept wanting to know why I asked that question. I kept saying I was drunk. My apologies. I figured she would either be a reformed and well-trained wife for him one day or she would break his heart and go back to the streets.
I ran into her in Atlanta at the tournament.

lol The helmet was in the passenger seat. I guess he re-arranged some shat to get it to fit. Purchased 14 days of hotel and a few other things to help a brotha' out.

As part of the Night Owl crew, we used to be pissed when the board would go down in the middle of the night. At least I would just email or text you the next morning.
Yeah, man! We had reunions. The first year was in Atlanta, then (I forget what order) we had one in Houston, Jackson, and New Orleans. In fact, I want to say that we even received an official proclamation from someone with the City of Jackson. That's just how impactful this message board used to be.
Kenn don't sell yourself or this board short sir - it still is and I for one appreciate this outlet and the ability for us to communicate about SWAC and HBCU love. While we might have Facebook and other ways of connecting, SWACPage/HBCU Sports Forum is always gonna be "Home".
