That was from Central State, with Billy Joes team he left there when he moved on to FAMU. Don't get confused NAIA is a national sports organization like the NCAA, SAIC is a D2 HBCU conference.Did he get his Black College national Championship in a poll voted on by the media? He does not a have a d2 national championship which is a playoff system. Check the SIAC records they did not go to the play-offs when AAMU was in the conference and probably not at all due to their participation in the Turkey Day Classic.

The 2005 season finished with an 11-1 record, which brings his Tuskegee record to 90-26.

Even in our "down" years with less than average coaches in '99, we still made the championship game due to sheer talent alone.
For six long years, we didn't have a legitimate coach and most of yall know this cause you constantly make jokes about it.
This year we have both, talent AND coaching.
Ain't no way in hades a lower tier school such as aamu will win back to back SWAC titles. That hasn't happened in the last 25 years, so what are the odds of that happenin' again? You know the odds and so do I.:lecture:
aamu is no more than a one hit wonder, somethin like those one hit wonder singers who made songs like..... "The Macarena", "Disco Duck", "I'm Too Sexy", "Who Let The Dogs Out", "Ice Ice Baby", "Kung Fu Fighting".
After this year, yall will be remembered no more just like those singers and just like the Egyptians after Moses took 'em out. (right click....saved)

Mike, you will need a much more complete team to get to Bham this year. Your best team in years got their by the skin of their teeth. I won't speak for all Jacksonians but I think it would be safe to say that (when hired) Comegy was expected to:
1.) Bring us back to respectability in 2006 (he did that)
2.) Get us to Bham in 2007
3.) Contend for the SWAC and BCF National Championship from 2008 on
We may not win the SWAC this year but you will have to come with it EVERY week (from beating SU and Gram to beating PV and Valley) if you expect to keep JSU out of Bham. Do you think AAMU can do that?
