On the real, I think the Bayou Classic is okay. I think those 70k days are gone forever but it is not dead. I just get tired of SU folks trying to go in when that game is not perfect. Also, yall can't argue attendance with us right now. We winning in that Department.
the bayou classic will shake back...take this year......if SU-GSU have great seasons...it'll be back up there

Yall so slow and still missed the point....let me break it down AGAIN......Baton Rouge is not in a slump.....the city is booming......SO....why would it pump money into SU?????

Now Jackson??......Not doing so well........So the city is investing money into JSU to help bring in funds

They ain't doing it because they just love JSU....They doing it because thats the only option!!!!! DUHHHHHHHHHH

BR may not be in a slump, but SU is. If LSU was in a slump, would BR pump funds into them? Then why don't they pump funds into a slumping SU?

i don't feel SU is in a slump...Like i said....the media makes a big deal out of everything....Slump means we too broke to do anything.....SU aint doin that bad

where are you getting your facts from? If Baton Rouge is pumping money into SU as you say how come you guys are firing employees and cutting scholarships and programs...(which is a well known fact that they are doing)

Since you have your facts how much is the city of Jackson investing into JSU please inform the JSU Mafia with facts? I am interested to see because its funny when folks come in here with opinions thinking its facts...

Speaking of cant Read!!!!!!!!!!!.......where in the world did i say Baton Rouge was pumping money into SU??????

AND ummmmmmm......did u not read the post of

The Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau offered to pay Alcorn State for transportation, lodging and meals for the football team, athletic staff, cheerleaders, band and student representatives. They also offered to pay for the university's pep rally, the coaches' media luncheon, Classic Golf Tournament, university president's reception and a step show. Altogether, JCVB committed approximately $160,000 to Alcorn to keep the game in the capital city. http://www.jacksonfreepress.com/news/2012/jul/11/500k-and-classic-might-stay-jackson/

Aint that pumping money into JSU football?

Ok....so what is Jackson State getting????.....We give out money to Ole piss and M-State....so ummmmm lets donate deez ninjas a stadium...and make them feel happy to have somethin

Dumbest statement yet.
When has JSU given out money to Ole Miss and Miss State. And to ask a further question, what in the hell do Ole Miss and Miss State have to do with JSU anyway. Ole Miss nor Miss State has ever owned Memorial but clowns like ya'll just love to keep spreading lies like ya'll members of the Black SWAC Far Right Tea Party.

2011 Bayou Classic attendance was 40,715, which is way more than any jSU home game. The Bayou Classic has gone through ups and downs before, with more ups than downs, but should Southern and Grambling move the game because it has experiened a few down years after Katrina? Now I know what jSU stands for, Jealous State University.

Dude we had more for homecoming last year...SMH

Yeah, a 60,000 seat stadium with free upkeep and 10 million dollars in renovation, plus additional upkeep by the state as needed, plus 250,000 dollars from UMC to rent our parking areas, plus total control over ALL events and activities held at Memorial.
This equates to no program cuts, no layoffs and no moving home games to opponents field.:snicker:

And have we said that JSU HAS CUT NO PROGRAMS nor have we sold a home game away to anther SWAC team's home turf because we needed money to stay afloat like that school in Baton Rogue. :lmao:

Su posters.
Ya'll mentality when it comes to business is as ghetto as it come.

We admit .....we've had our share of problems.....but we ain't sittin out on our azz.....SU has new positive leadership right now.....its you JSU posters who act as if jackson is perfect......stop living in denial ....Yall need alcorn

No.
It is YOU that came in here telling all these lies about JSU, Confederate Memorial, Ole Miss, etc., trying to make your own pitiful existance look a little better. Didn't quite work out as you planned huh.

Everything posted and you still don't understand it is the Mayor of Jackson trying to keep it here on a every year basis. To JSU, it makes no difference to us. If they come back every year, we don't have to leave the city. If they don't, ain't like we have not played this game on a home and home basis in the past. BACK TO OLE SCHOOL.

Once again. I dont claim to be a genius. It s simple math to me.

22,000 tickets x $35 per head = 770k

Give or take discounts and freebies, add parking concessions, maybe a sponsership.

I aint the smartest but... 500k sounds good to me... Go head Alcorn

Add more Free tickets and divide that number in half because they will not have a game next year... Also add into the extra security, utilities, etc... But I'm not sure why folks mad. Let them have the game at home...Good for them...!!!

WE= speaking from The state of mississippi's point of view....i got a 13 year old reading this and understood that......how old are you???

Aint the mayor a city official????....Aint that what i said?....the City of jackson invests money in Jackson State University....to Help the City of Jackson??...damn boi....where u get ya Education?

So the city of Jackson should pay Alcorn more than Miss. State paid them? Jackson should pay more than SU and GSU get from New Orleans? You guys pay one million to get how much back in return? 600,000 apiece? From my calculations, that's only 200,000 dollars, which equates to 100,000 dollars apiece.
Now your main sponsor has pulled out.

Now I know why you get mad when math is presented to you. It seems like anything that has something to do with math causes your head to explode.

So Jindal ok you all to get some extra lights in the Mini dome and a new track and you're tickled pink? :shame:

And that's all you all are getting from being the 2nd largest economic in the nation? Now what is you all's daddy, LSU getting?

:lmao:
I refuse to list all the shat JSU has added or built again in just the last 2 years alone. No need of going back 12 years. But he happy with a coat of paint on the mini-dome and some new light bulbs. :lmao:

JSU built a new outdoor track and tennis courts before the baseball stadium went in. Then tore them up and REBUILT the entire track and tennis court complex when the baseball stadium went up.

I see you didn't dispute those numbers, now run play with somebody who don't know any better.

By the way, don't you have a homeworkd assignment due? Where's your formula showing JSU's road attendance?:noidea:

that's more like pumping money in the City of Jackson to keep the economic impact in the city. JSU is mainly just gaining its usual.
