2025 Football Schedules (Continued)

No.

The students pushed for homecoming when they are on campus. The President listened and made the change, some alumni were not happy, but with TU back on the schedule (at least temporarily) the alumni are happy.
I never understood the concept of having homecoming on the weekend students were out for the holiday. I thought the TDC was a good game for the schools but not as homecoming for State.

I love our schedule. Great job Dr. Cable! We have 8 in-state games. Five home games and 3 turnaround games. The Valley game has been moved to Mobile.

My daughter and most of her generation feels the same way. As OH states it was the tradition that no longer exists. Keep your eyes on Ruffins at TU. I believe they will once again attempt a move up to FCS..

So y’all gave FAMU a home game instead? I hope the money is good cause we know Valley ain’t showing up in Atlanta like that.

1) Why are you worrying about what Valley does with OUR home game when JSU is LITERALLY doing the same thing with their home game against Grambling moving to Vegas to a NFL stadium (for a check)

2) Every SWAC school has a strong ATL alum chapter including Valley. Valley's not gonna outnumber anyone but we got 4 months to promote this game to get a respectable showing

3) As someone who has been to both games against FAMU at Valley, you literally could have put all their fans on 1 school bus. And they didn't bring their band either time which is why the MGMM didn't travel to Tallahassee

JSU is getting $1.5mil plus the gate w/expenses paid for our Vegas game, yall probably not even getting $500k. Pretty moot point there buddy.

FAMU has a strong Atl alumni base. Everyone knows Valley won’t outnumber anyone. Ever. Fam will for sure outnumber you for YOUR home game in Atlanta which is what I was getting at. That ain’t nearly the same as Itty Bitty. This really doesn’t even make sense, but whatever works for yall.

Ive been to many ATL Classic games…. FAMUA outnumbered TSU by a huge percentage… it may be 10:1 with Valley. Their best hope is to just wear Green and try to fit in.

That’s all I’m tryna tell em. Don’t care for them snakes at all but they show up in Atlanta big time whenever they play there

I have heard rumors of a move up. They are adding lights to the field to have night games, whivh might be the first step in the move

It was tradition.
If students got out on Wednesday for the break, did they just stay in town for the TDC and then go home on Friday and come back on Sunday? If so, they did not have much time at home.

I imagine this tradition started when State was on the quarter system and the break gave students had plenty of time to spend at home the week before or week after the TDC.

My oldest son is a junior at Tuskegee… trust me… that school aint nowhere close to even thinking about moving up… they have much more pressing issues…..

That is what happens when you are not a football school. Up until recently, ASU only cared about the MCC and TDC. To combine TDC with Homecoming was probably an easy solution to a fan base who didnt want to be bothered with a 3rd game.

Seems like it was just a game for the old people. A real Homecoming. Nothing to really do with the students. It was for alumni coming home.

Nobodies band travels to Valley outside of the MS schools. Valleys band also hasn’t/doesn’t travel to all SWAC schools either. Travel is only a courtesy when you have a good band that people care about.

Exactly, they don't have this big fan base that travel.

Yep, they don't even offer the minimum number of sports to be D1 or have the funds to apply.

There is one big change!

For the first time in their more than 100-year history, the Tuskegee football team will play a night game at Cleve Abbott Memorial Stadium.

Tuskegee announced Thursday morning that its Saturday, Sept. 6, home game against SIAC opponent Central State will be played under newly installed lights at Abbott Memorial Stadium. This marks the first time the Shed will host a night game.
