The political strategists make those decisions. If the President wants to deviate, the strategists appeal to the party leaders and leak information to the media. The leaders pressure the president. I'm using president because that's the position we talking about now, but that's how politics works for all.

They are mad at the folks that no matter how much proof or data you gave them-all they saw was a biracial black woman and that was enough to NOT vote for her.

And now many of them are crying about what is happening now. Including folks who thought Project 2025 was fake.

Then they should have asked that in 2023 when Biden won the primaries.

Anyone else they chose would have been in a WORST spot than Harris. She has access to funds day one.

Anyone else would have started at ground zero and that included fighting to get on ballots in every state.

What new party? We saw a bunch that did NOTHING for years.
We saw parties that have held no offices.
We say parties that gave no type of policies.

Everything Harris got a beatdown for those others got free passes.

A Latino party? Won't work because that is not one group but MANY different ones who don't like each other.
A black one? Would never get the votes.

Unless they all manage to get along and take over the Green Party from Stein who is NOW silent.

Blaming oppression on non-voters, NOT the govt or whites, who actively oppress people regardless of who voted in elections, is stupid.

And this also assumes Democrats don't also act as oppressors. It's literally illegal to be homeless in a lot of Democrat-run cities. There is a cop city going up in Atlanta, a city historically run by Democrats. Protestors on college liberal campuses got their heads bashed by police and called antisemitic by Democrats for demonstrating against a Democrat White House that approves of Israel "defending itself" despite its military blowing up women and babies.

I said it was an American problem, not a party problem. I further said the playing field wasn't even, meaning it happens on both sides. What I do believe is that during this election cycle Trump and the republican party leaned into hate harder than anyone running for president since George Wallace. I also share the belief they were aided and abetted by so called conservative networks.

There are just as many Democrats that hate vote as there are Republican.

We saw that this past Tuesday.

Lets just look at it from a MONEY standpoint. How much money was WASTED on going after Biden by the GOP Congress?
They passed the fewest bills in history because they were witch hunting for Trump.
$148 million in taxpayer money went to bus migrants from Texas. That is money the school districts did NOT get. Which means I got a LOWER raise and Plano is now looking at closing more than 4 schools.
Do we even NEED to talk Deportation? Or Tariffs?
How many of our parents are on Medicare and Social Security? Who on here is ready to take care of them when they don't have that and it's YOUR check and insurance supporting them?
If you cared about all the federal employees who are MAJORITY BLACK...
If you cared about all the kids who get free meals thanks to the Department of Education....

You don't go to the ballot box and vote for anyone else other than Harris. Even if you hate her.

If that was Biden-we are probably NOT talking about this. We are getting ready for Biden term 2. Because he would have had those white voters. Including the Union ones that refused to endorse Harris despite the face SHE saved their pensions.

Now that Harris isn't going to be POTUS, what are ya'll who simply just voted for her going to do to help improve the material condition of the folks you care about or in your communities?

That's an important question because many folks are only engaged through voting, and that's it. They don't get involved any other time. They don't donate to mutual aid, food pantries, teachers who need to buy supplies, bail funds, etc. They aren't involved politically at the local level at all, but what to cry and yell about voting once every four years and then go back to not caring about politics until elections come around again.

Do you want to know part of the reason there is a shift in government despite the GOP now being influenced by the radical right? Look at groups like Moms For Liberty. They've been doing grassroots work for years, showing up at city council meetings, school board meetings, HOA meetings, churches, etc., promoting their agenda. Heck, one of their local chapters was invited as a guest by a minor league baseball team to solicit spectators during a game. They've been able to draw the audience of sitting politicians to create influence.

Groups like that—despite what we think of them—pressure politicians and influence others in their community to do the same. But we only rely on politicians to do the work, so we won't have to worry about politics.

And then we wonder how the hell Trump and some of these other far-right folks end up in office. They don't stop doing the work.

You like to play games. Don't pretend Homan wasn't in Trump's first administration, and don't act like you don't know he was one of the chief architects of separating those babies from their parents at the border.

Man I swear some of you are a trip, too many of you care more about making a damn point than people.

Yeah, Homan was in the Trump admin. But while he was associate director of ICE in the Obama admin, Homan argued that separating children from their parents would be an effective means of discouraging illegal border crossings, and he's continued that stance since.

The only games being played here are people who act like Democrats can do no wrong.

I remember having this same conversation with George Bush 2 republicans on this page. They all just Clinton blah blah blah. By the year of 2007 they never talked about Bush again. I'm telling you now by 2027 January the recession caused by Trump will be way worse than Bush. The republican party and the Trickle down economics will not work in a global society in 2024. It takes two years for policies to start shaping. Notice how the inflation started to correct itself in 2023. The economy is stable and growing at a moderate pace but full republican control with no checks and balances will be hurtful.

Don't worry the 50,000 Federal jobs Elon Musk has gotten trump to commit to cutting will have an affect on the black community which also means contractor jobs which mean 3 contractors to every federal worker. It brings that to 150000 contractors and 50000 federal. That makes it 200000 jobs. Do you know that the federal government is the largest employer of minorities in this country? Out of that number 100K of those will be minorities laid off. You're trying to play politics I'm talking about reality. Those high paying jobs means cuts on blue collar jobs and jobs in the food, retail and hotel industries too. Remember I will be waiting on your talking points.
