The Celebration Bowl will outrank the majority of bowl games. Only the top P5 schools will outdo the Celebration Bowl.

The city of Atlanta, the HBCU community, and Black America seems to really be buying into it. One of my coworkers who have no HBCU ties went to the game with her family said she enjoyed the atmosphere and was really into the game. She always said she wish she went to a HBCU and this game allows to sorta have that experience.

The real test will be the 2023 game without Deion, without Hunter, and possibly without JSU.

I would say the HBCU Community was there in a small amount. However, I would also say an overwhelming amount of the crowd came from the two schools.

whenever a Carolina hbcu school is playing in a game of that magnitude It seems all those other Carolina HBCUs support...I think NCCU had some extra backing from those other Carolina hbcus yesterday...

[off topic] I think that there are just too many damn bowls games. I understand companies wanting to put their names on bowl games, but damn!!!

The Lending Tree Bowl: Rice University, 5-7 vs University of Southern Mississippi, 6-6. SMH!!

🤣 Whatever!!! Oh well, it is what it is.

And it's only going to get worse after the playoffs expand. But I do hope they cut some out then but I doubt it.

Also a lot of the SWAC schools were represented when I went last year .... I'm sure that didn't change. I seen Alcorn, FAMU, and Alabama State the most

College football does ratings even with two 6-6 teams in a bowl game. People tune in no matter what

Remember we always boast about the CB attendance but ESPN doesn't care as long as it does good ratings like it has.

Cotton Bowl only had 55K?...In Jerry's house?

I went to the Military Bowl last week at the Naval Academy here in Maryland. The atmosphere was nice. There was a nice crowd also.

Interesting...since the SWAC and MEAC postseason bowl game with each other is so well attended, what if we allowed the 2nd and 3rd place finishers do the same thing. I mean, if there is more money out there for our own institutions, why not? Make it a continual battle of the two conferences. The SIAC and CIAA could follow suit...

Note, when I was younger, I definitely did not see it this way (going to a Bowl game instead of the playoffs), but again I whatever is more feasible for our institutions with regards to finances.
