I know we lost a chance to 3-peat but I'm really proud of Alcorn ...We were big under dogs to a very good Grambling team and everyone including me knew it...Now last year or the year before I knew we would win the Championship, but this year's team was just different, but they showed heart and fight and McNair showed he could coach and put a gamelan together. .
Congrats Gram and Congrats Alcorn...Excited for next year with 7 coming back on D and 7 on Offense including Warford, McKenzie and Baker..they'll be back

PS: you all are mad at #86 but most don't know that he played with a Cast on his hand due to a broken hand..Can't blame him for dropping the pass..if u gone blame anyone blame the coach for putting a RS freshman with a Cast on a broke hand in that situation...

Well said and that's why I blame Kaiss for that. the hell you passing to a man with a cast on??!!!?? WTF?

Not only the drops...45 allowed two touchdowns to 10...he was in position to make stops twice and failed both times. Carter is something else though.

Yea I agree Kincaid was throwing jump balls to his receivers the entire second half, as I said gram did what the had to do to win
 
Congratulations to Grambling State University football 2016 for being THE top dog in the SWAC and winning not only the SWAC West division but also the SCG as well.

On a personal note, I also want to thank GSU for continuing to help educate PVAMU on what we need to do/how we need to recruit/WHERE lol we need to recruit to be consistently competitive. ;)

Bingo! I've read comments on social media that "he held on to the ball too long"... Dude was going through his progressions and didn't risk any bad throws. Plus give Alcorn's secondary and especially pass rush their props. As for those criticizing him for not taking off and running, we have to remember he has a bum ankle and we definitely didn't need him re-injuring it.

Mostly, I think the young man and the team needs some mental rest. The TxSU game, Bayou Classic, SCG was a tough 3 game stretch. Finally, hats off to the Braves...the brought it all game long!

Yeah, I was one of them. It is not impossible to go through all the progressions, determine nobody is open and then decide to throw the ball away to avoid losing yards.
 



Alcorn called a great play but the thing I questioned is why run that play to a guy with a cast on his arm who had dropped one earlier.

I can understand that... but he's extremely confident in his arm and his receiver's getting opened. I'm glad he didn't put the ball at risk. Easier to recover from a sack than from a turnover. It get's frustrating as a fan, but when we think about it, it's not a bad approach. Not optimal, but not bad mindset.
 
Carter brings "Juice" to our offense but Jestin Kelly is like a nice thick gravy! You tend to overlook what he brings to the table but those power yards take a toll on a defense. This year he's done a good job of running behind his pads and finishing runs. What surprises me about Carter is the ferocity of his runs. That kid has great lower body and core strength...plus he got that Southside Monroe Dog in him!

if we had gotten up two scores in the 4th like we had a chance to, he would've had no choice. The picks would have come.

Had to play em, Alcorn lost their top two TE's for the season #89 & 87, he was our 3rd or 4th TE, he played Left Tackle in the Arkansas game.

Awarding Alcorn 1 second was correct, but the spot of the ball wasn't. That pass on the previous play was incomplete. Grambling should have challenged that catch.

Also, there are too many bitter Alcorn fans to say Grambling usually beats them anyway, and they have dropped 4 games to GSU in 3 years. I just don't get it. All of this talk about that chunky kid dropping two passes as if he was responsible for allowing GSU to score 27 points in the second half. Also, bashing Kincaid for tossing up jump balls to receivers is insane as well. GSU's receivers have shown us all season that they can snatch the balls away from you like grown men. That's the game. The better program won. GSU was 2-0 of Alcorn this year. Period.
