2008 SWAC TV schedule

Up in these parts the majority of people have cable. It may have to do with the frequency of weather changes. If the majority subscription tv is through cable, how is a channel national. There are more people with digital cable that have LOGO than ESPNU. I also pay for the sports package for comcast. ESPNU and FoxSports South aren't included. Availability is still marginal.

ESPNU and ESPN Classic are not available in Chicago on Comcast???

The majority of national cable providers do not carry ESPNU. It's standard with sattlelite.

It's standard on Dish Network but not Direct TV, you have to pay extra for it.

Fact remains, as stated, ESPNU and ESPN Classic are available nationally.

ESPNU is not available on Comcast in the Houston Area.

Yeah they gave us that crap along with Indieplex and Retroplex. They also moved the Golf channel from the digital tier to the regular tier, they could have left it in the digital tier and gave us ESPNU in the regular tier with the other ESPN Channels.

did you call and request for it?

Thats how Huntsville got it on cable... alot of people called in and requested it. If nobody request it, the cable company doesnt know you want it.

I keep asking Comcast for ESPNU.

Isn't Directv available in the Houston area?

If so, then ESPNU is available in the Houston area.

Do Direct TV give you free access to basic cable on televisions to use without getting a box? NO

My kids rooms get free basic cable just by hooking their tv up to the cable.

Is Directv available? YES

ESPNU is on Directv

Meaning, ESPNU is available

Whether we choose to get it is up to us.

Right now, I have Comcast, and ESPNU is not available on there..

In another month or so, I'll be switching back to Directv, because ESPNU is available on there.

I'm with you. What ever best suits your situation. It doesn't make any sense to subscirbe to a service that doesn't fit your needs economically or for reception quality. This one dude was talking about how he missed an entire Bears game because of weather issues. I was hurt for him. That's to unpredictable for me to deal with. Now when you don't have those weather issues, then it becomes a viable option. If ESPNU was a standard cable station this wouldn't be an issue. Just like some have stated about MBC a few years ago that people were complaining. It's just funny how when most people have easy access to channels or location for attending games, every thing is peaches and creme. Let a person outside of that box make a comment about availability, then they have a cow because they don't understand what's the problem.

I have stated plenty of times before my cable has gone out more than my Direct tv has. I can remember my DTV going out 2 times and thats when we were having a tornado. If you want to have cable (with a horrible picture, pay higher prices, and not get ESPNU) then that is your CHOICE.

I was getting Comcast for $15 a month and let that go becasue I needed ESPNU. Now I am paying about 100 bucks a month during football season and about 70 the rest of the year. :(

It wasn't a choice for me. I have an apartment, and it doesn't face the southern sky so I get no signal on site. DirecTV let me out of my contract and I HAD to go over to Comcast w/ no ESPNU. Good thing that the game JSU has on ESPNU happens to be in my own back yard, though.

The game in your back yard is on ESPN2

JSU-Alcorn is on ESPNU.

same with me...satellite is useless without Southrn Sky Access....I'm stuck with this wack cable company out here with no type of sports package...

Comcast and ESPNU is a big fight....if they get that, then Comcast is best bang for the buck..
