2008 Prairie View A&M Univ Football Notes

of all our opponents last year, PV's defense is the only one that really impressed me. Not sure how many of those guys return for this season...

9 of 11 return MikeBigg. :) And, we're 2 deep @ every position defensively and in a few cases 3 deep. The question about last years' redshirts and max 5 former D-I FBSers has already been answered over the summer and a few weeks ago. I'm thinking this years' def squad is the quickest and strongest looking I'd ever witnessed @ PV in my lifetime. For instance, when ZEast is off the field, we lose nothing in terms of performance/athleticism in the middle. MSach is very, very, very capable @ ILB.

I know it's late but go back to having those Barbara "head coach of the 1992 Olympic Team" Jacket nightmares when her teams ran all over TSU...

Mary who?

umh, that would not have been between 1982-1993 Mary who? Onyali. Get your fact correct before you come talking that trash to me about track during my time in the SWAC. PVU had nothing for TSU during those years. Miss J is still on campus go ask her she'll tell ya, but yes she is my one of my favorite coaches always believed in me.

Am I the only one who REALLY wants PV to beat the livin **** out of Texas So just to see what CLEB is post the day after lol

can you say cold sweat? having nightmares of TSU beating that Azz already are you

 NO! I want PV to beat their behind.

Sorry just not going to happen:smh:

Yeah, you may be right.

PV quarterback Spivey receives 6th year of eligibility

Prairie View A&M quarterback Mark Spivey has been granted a medical hardship waiver by the NCAA, giving him a sixth year of eligibility.

Spivey, a Westfield product, missed the 2004 season and most of the 2005 campaign with shoulder injuries, but posted the best performance of his collegiate career last season, going 5-1 as a starter and leading the Panthers to their first winning season since 1976.

?He?s the leader of our offense, and he?s looking very sharp in practice,? coach Henry Frazier III said. ?I?m expecting him to pick up where he left off last year."

Houston Chronicle

Continuing where he left off last season.......

I was already sold on our defense for this year, and now that we have the cheif back running the offense it will be a long long night for TxSU @ the LDC !!

Go PVU !

I can give you 10,000 reasons why you are. :smh:

Hit dogs always holler don't they? :emlaugh: Insider 411 from purplers and golders isn't panning out is it?

BOW......................wow............ and you all should be afraid of the final score. :retard:

PVU - 63

Yeah, we all pissin' on ourselves right now. :scared:

Fan day was good. Very good. Go to chron to see what our "neutral" Panther thinks. :swink: (RonnieT) Don't shrink that shirt RT!!!! :slap: :swink:

PANTHRO,

SERIOUSLY, WITH NORTHERN AS YOUR DEFENSIVE GURU, PVU WILL BE IN THE THICK OF THINGS IN THE WEST. YOU CAN SEND A MESSAGE WITH A WIN OVER TSU. HOWEVER, A LOSS COULD BE A DISASTER. PVU IS GOOD , HOWEVER DON'T LET YOUR PAST HUNT YALL. GOOD LUCK!!!

We'll be okay kinfolk. I've never ever witnessed this type of team from top to bottom @ PVAMU. Speed, quickness, size, strength, experience, and maturity all @ one time.

I'll follow our leaders character and stay tight-lipped. But I will leave this, we really do have an awfully damned good team. :read:

Lastly, we won't lose to sTu. :)

P hush up and wait until August 30th. I wouldn't call the Cole brothers out because they have a squad and those boys aren't for being pissed off but good luck to both teams and everybody this year.

Skbeeasy -- the SWAC is a Division I conference as well. How is it a drop down if Oklahoma State and Texas Southern are both Division I.

Now, if you are talking about FBS and FCS -- okay, you can call it a "drop down"...
