We played poorly against Bama State, but scored 58. Had we not turned the ball over so much, we mighta scored 80. But we did turn the ball over 5 times. As for SU, you on had 3 turnovers. You had 2 less than JSU. Hell two TDs set up short SU TDs, I believe. But we played a great game???

If you wanna rationalize the game away like that, you go right ahead. I'm through with it. All I know is, we put you ahead and kept you there. Then we snatched you back.
 



A sore loser I am not, but it gets a little bothersome that when SU wins a game, it is not because we were the better team, it was because someone gave us a game or the refs cheated. But when SU loses, it lost because we suck and the other team was so much better.

I have heard every Jackson State fan on this board cry about giving away games to SU for 4 straight losses and according to them we cheated them in all of them. As if cheating is a uncommon thing in the SWAC.

I have watched every fan on this board cry foul when they get smashed and bemoan their team played badly instead of someone else was better.

Now, does that make a sore loser or like everyone else. I can congratulate JSU on winning, but if the shoe was on the other foot as it was for 58 minutes, they were already making excuses and the biggest one was the the refs were cheating, it was raining, the band didn't go on the field, the white pants are jinxed, etc. I am relieved that we didn't have to hear them.

Give it a break. The SWAC page is full of sore losers and even worse winners.

I don't believe any Mafia member yelled "cheating" in 1999 for either game. Y'all just beat us both times. In 1998, I will forever say y'all and the refs cheated us. That "clock" game just took the cake. Fact is, SU has always gotten more favorable calls than anyone else. An entire conference of fans can't be wrong about this.

I'm sure SU didn't play its best game Saturday night. I'm figuring we'll be seeing y'all again. Time to do to y'all what y'all did to us in '99.
 
No. I think that was the year Get Ready put the commissioner in our pocket. I am sure JState Tiger or Get Ready had something to say about the officiating.

The 1st SCG is the only game in the series and the only SWAC game that I can remember where there was no complaints on either side. A good game between good teams who played to their strenghts and weaknesses.

You will definitely get your chance to top '99.
