I'm trying to figure out and confirm the first 4 games since I only see the mascots (no school names) and everything is small for my eyes....

1. Howard U
2. Miles (I thought it was something else but a closer look seems like it is purple and gold with a bear mascot)
3. Tenn. State
4. Bowie St. (based on what I saw mentioned in the fb group last week)

Again, let me know if I'm right or where I'm wrong....and yes at 53, I'm not as sharp in certain things as I once was (memory and eyesight) ...LOL

TSU, Morgan State Announce H/H Football Series Beginning in 2026

NASHVILLE — Tennessee State Football and Morgan State University have agreed to a home-and-home series beginning in the 2026 season, TSU Director of Athletics Dr. Mikki Allen announced.

The Tigers will host the Bears in Nashville on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, with the return game scheduled for the 2027 season in Baltimore.

The matchup renews a series between two proud HBCU programs with a limited but successful history. Tennessee State is unbeaten all-time against Morgan State, including a 14-0 victory in the 1972 Atlanta Ebony Classic at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and a 21-0 shutout at Vanderbilt Stadium in 1985.

The Tigers also earned back-to-back wins later in the decade, defeating the Bears 52-10 in Baltimore in 1986 before securing a 37-17 victory at Hale Stadium in 1987.

The 2026 contest will mark the first meeting between the programs in nearly four decades and will bring together two historic institutions with rich football traditions.

I question the accuracy of the series record! Maybe, A&M SIAC records are not included. The A&M and Bama State series is inaccurate.

Overall Record: Alabama A&M 44, Alabama State 43, 3 Ties (as of Oct 2025).

I have compiled the records A&M/Bama State games that started in 1924. A&M joined the SIAC in 1948 after Talladega dropped football and left the conference. BCU, FAMU and Miles were members of the SIAC.

NASHVILLE — Tennessee State Football will renew one of the most storied rivalries in HBCU football on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, as the Tigers and Florida A&M University meet in the opening contest of a two-game series spanning the 2026 and 2027 seasons, TSU Director of Athletics Dr. Mikki Allen announced Monday.

The series resumes with the 56th all-time meeting between the programs and marks the first matchup since 2017. Tennessee State will travel to Tallahassee in 2026 before hosting the Rattlers in 2027, when the Tigers will serve as the designated home team. Kickoff time for the 2026 game will be announced at a later date.

"This rivalry represents the very foundation of HBCU football-tradition, excellence and community, " said Allen. "Reconnecting with Florida A&M allows us to honor the past while intentionally laying the groundwork for a long-term, annual matchup that our fans, alumni and student-athletes can look forward to for years to come."

Tennessee State holds a 31–24 advantage in the all-time series, adding another layer of intrigue to the renewal of a rivalry that has helped shape the national profile of HBCU football.

The matchup carries deep historical significance for TSU. One of the most memorable games in program history came on Oct. 25, 1969, when the Tigers defeated Florida A&M 33–20 in front of 20,000 fans, the third-most attended game ever on TSU's campus.
