2026 SWAC Basketball Tournament

it is but thats the reality of this thing but the money comes from the NCAA tourney revenue

but once again - you invite the last 4 out to the party and they killed the bracket - those teams get an extra day to play on the court and get the nerves out as you also saw AAMU almost falter on the women's side - BCU's season means absolutely nothing now unortunately - they have to look at protecting the top seeds better in the future and give byes to the semifinals or make the bottom 4 host games at home get their travel started earlier to develop some type of disadvantage of finishing low
 






Why is your point guard on the floor for 38 minutes or more a game and averages two points a game with two assists.

I chip in my congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs on a great season. It is difficult to beat a comparable team three times in a season or row. It just seem that we never get an upset against a higher rated team in the tournament and that we always get upset by a lower rated team.

P.S. I blame the JSU for this loss.

Coach Funchess builds his teams for tournament time. Thornton and A&M had a great season and fell short by 2 points. Always felt if you beat a team twice you should know how to beat them again. Neutral court and game pressure are sometimes factors in tournaments. Should be a good championship game tomorrow.......Go Jags!

She was not required or expected to a top scorer for the team. She is basically out there to handle the ball and get it down the court. We have no one else to do that consistently. Opposing teams recognized this and pressured us all season long when we threw the ball in under their goal.

I knew Southern was going to be problem based upon the two games during the season because we just squeaked by on both games.. The Jags just matched up well with us. I was hoping that somehow JSU could pull off an upset and have us avoid Southern.
 
Two back to back 20 game seasons. Of course the bottom barrel schools in the SWAC are mad. 😂 Don't worry we will be back next year with another 20 plus season so y'all can hate again.
