Roster management is the last thing we have to deal with. Coach and staff seemingly have that under control (for now). The ONLY question which need answering is are we serving fresh cut skirt steak or t-bone steaks for dinner during our 1st game week lol. Are we serving goat milk or cows milk? We are an ag school so... :)
Hopefully Jackson don't turn out to be a Connell Maynor lol. All bark and no bite. Either way it's going to be fun to watch lol

Coach TJack and coach Maynor are 180 degrees away from each other. This staff targeted folk, just didn't accept the 1st FBS/FCS transfer looking for a viable home. Folk came of their own volition over a few choices each of them had. Physical location, $$$ NIL, campus offering, opportunity, belief, objectives, etc, all of that played a factor in their decision, I'm sure. Y'all saw what coach Prime did @ JSU. We're doing likewise, but not so on the grandest stage with transparency.

Cannot wait to see our revamped OL hit against sTu's DL. :)

This is hilarious. I can't see Alcorn being that bad.

Bama State reminds me of JSU under Comegy. Loads of talent but a lack of discipline seems to cost them in the biggest games.

Coach Prime missed severely in the trenches.. which is the reason TC is more successful. Good luck

Before the SWAC gives their predicted order of finish, I wanted to take a crack at it!

EAST
1. Jackson State
2. Alabama State- So making the first pick past JSU was HARD but if ASU can keep Body healthy, maybe they can be good enough to be #2
3. FAMU- They dont have a coach or a QB. I am just giving them benefit of the doubt to hold the #3 spot from AAMU. BUT im not overly convinced.
4. AAMU - They will always be average. That's just them. They just hired a coach who is going to have Roll Tide games playing in his head set. They better make sure BAMA is not playing at the same time. The fans wont be upset with him tho. They will understand.
5. Valley - Just because I had to pick
6. BCU - Im just assuming they will be bad. They do have a 2nd team QB but Im not sure that's a flex right now.

West:
1. Southern - They will still be sorry and will have to watch TxSo's back.
2. Texas Southern - I actually want to put them at 1b BUT I want to their HC make a tangible step in the right direction first.
3. Prairie View - Was hard to pick between them and GSU but at least PVs coach has a big D2 mouth and keeps things interesting.
4. Grambling- They will be motivated to do well in 2025 but #3 is their ceiling.
5. Alcorn - Alcorn is going to be sorry. Like really sorry. They dont have any money to get decent recruits and coaches. They will catch at least ten 50 pieces.
6. UAPB - I dont know if they even have any good players left. Doubt it tho.
I like the list other than swapping SU and sTu, also need to put PV below GSU and Alcorn, also put ASU at 3 and nobody at 2, nobody will be close to JSU so you don't need a 2nd in the east, then it would be a good list.

Prime focused there too lol. Its tough to recruit good offensive linemen from the portal 😆
That is true. That's why we targeted and signed "Ranked as the 22nd-best player in the state of Mississippi and No. 62 offensive tackle recruit in the nation by 247 Sports." We recruited and signed a neighboring FCS conference's 1st Team OL as well.

We're rebuilding and unfortunately, time doesn't allow coach TJack and staff an opportunity to 'experiment.' Coach and staff are expected to win and he built a team, led by the nameless incoming FBS txfer QB, which this team is already head and shoulders above where we were last year. As a team, we were horrible, undisciplined, physically weak, as a team.

Surely JSU can relate to the rebuild from scratch when coach Prime entered. Surely.

Jackson ain't coach Prime mane 😆 🤣. Everybody looks and sign the 20ish players in the state etc according to 247, rivals,.. Good true OL talent ain't hitting the portal especially to transfer down/ move laterally. That's far and few in between. You can stock up on skill players all day though. You're head and shoulders better than you were last year On Paper only. That team hasn't done anything yet while there are a few of us bringing back Proven winning teams complimented with a strong recruiting class.

Your rebuild vs Coach Prime's rebuild are not the same. TJack aint no Coach Prime. We just have better overall coaching in Jackson right now.

You dont know what your roster management will look like. TJack has never had to deal with star athletes. Well, I have not seen your roster list BUT I am assuming they are players with stars or had stars. PV is smalltime so those players will expect to play. If they don't, the locker room will be fool. And when they start losing, those boys will quit. They have no love for PV.

They lost of lot of defensive talent and their DC. They have not been known for offense in a long time.

TJack and Maynor are actually quite similar. People give TJack a lot of credit because he coached for white people and beat white people but Maynor did just as well in the playoffs, making it to the national championship game and losing just like TJack. Then he went to a bougie school (Hampton) just like TJack (PV). Then he got fired from Hampton, which is a likely scenario for.... 🤣 🤣

1st Team OL from a dominant neighboring FCS conference which OWNS (present tense) the SWAC is not good OL talent? lol We will see.

..and PV, let me tell yall something. We know yall scared to release your list of players BUT if you have any good players, the opposing coaches already know it. You cant have a good QB, DB, LB, DE etc... just hiding on your campus for MONTHS. It dont work like that. These coaches have relationships with players and 9 times out of 10, they know where they end up. So if you have a QB that the other coaches dont know about, trust me, he is sorry.

Bruh we've recruited guys that were starters at the FBS level that could barely crack the 2 deep at JSU. We've also recruited starters from other FCS teams like Sela etc who were 3rd string at THEE. It may or may not pan out because 1 ain't enough when you need 5.

Maynor didn’t wanna release his new players/transfers, etc. either as if it was a big deal and still got his ass beat, so everything seems to be on par 😂

Dude, I dont think I have seen Alcorn this bad since like 2011/2012. Do yall have a QB? Bailey was a lil over-rated but he is gone and yall dont have anything to replace it. You have like two good defensive players and Sewell. Your good players should have transferred to Jackson State like Rob did, but he was always a Tiger at heart.

...and yes, yall relied heavily on JUCOs back then AND you had Big Mac to develop the QBs. You dont have that now. All you have is coach who like to cry and quit. I dont think he has ever had a winning record as a HC.

😪 *cries in the car*
