A&M vs Tenn st is a lowkey rivalry...but they hate to lose to us especially in the John Merritt Classic ..i think A&M still owns that game if im not mistaken...we played them alot between 98-2008 -2009..they stopped the game in 08-09 one of those years.

Hey guys!

According to Alabama A&M officials here in Huntsville, the Bulldogs and Tigers admins have been in discussion about a game either on Sept 13th or Sept 20th.

2025 is a year in which FCS teams can play 12 regular season games. Tennessee State still has openings on 9/13 & 9/20... SHC was mentioned in the convo. BUT my guts says that AAMU - Tenn State could be a home-home series since AAMU already is playin 2 additional out of town classics (Magic City & Gulf Coast Challenge)...

Wouldn’t be a bad idea… but I would rather have a home and home. Memphis is 3 hours from both AAMU and TSU….. but Nashville is only 1.5 hours from Huntsville. Makes absolutely no sense that the two schools dont play each other in EVERY sport. TSU is the only CLOSE D1 HBCU to AAMU…

BEEN SAYING THIS FOR DECADES!!!
Only 2 hours a part and there is NO
reason why the 2 don't play each other
annually.

Its not on A&M, its on TSU. Should have
been a home-n-home at least since
A&M joined the SWAC if not before.

Would have been a great end-of-regular season
series. Day trips for both schools.

Dahill, ONLY 1.5 hours? Dang, even closer than I thought.
I was thinking 2 hours. Either way, I hate it never happened.
