I thought he was a walk on? These guys had offers. I know Coach Comegy went after top players but I can't think of anyone else. Coach Cooper was hell with the transfers back then.

Some of these players heart still not in coming to a HBCU....to me it seems more of the "in thing" to do socially at the moment.... I am not totally sold on the movement... some that come may stay a year but jump back in the portal as soon as some NIL money from the "clear" people come their way and the money is conditional to them going to a certain PWC...

That is the same thing I thought, but, no way was I gonna open that. :(

He was that was the point i was trying to convey, if you really want it i can be achieved.

According to them, we didn't recruit them.
let's put it to the test. Here's a kid at the high school I teach at. I mentioned Jackson State to him previously and all the clemson people were looking at me sideways after that. his brother was a 5 star last year & just finished his freshman season at clemson. he'll be a 4 or 5 star as well. He has offers from all the p5 schools. If you know someone in your schools program let them know to get at the kid. Make him say no. O-line... y'all know we need real o-linemen.

Don't worry, we have a winning staff that can recruit. None of the current players nor coaches were at THEE. Grambling lost 11 games in 1 year. Go pray like I said earlier since y'all haven't been relevant since 2017 lol.
So, fact is that you were successful this year, but couldn't close the BIG DEAL!!!! Pray that Coach Prime will not be on the Hover Round next year and will be serious about trying to get back there, which I doubt. Y'all will be really be pissed off next year....

Your most important game is your conference championship. We won that a year ahead of schedule. To say that you doubt he will get back there next year is pure hate being that we are bringing back All starters except 4 (9 of those were freshmen so they will be even better their sophomore year). He out-recruits every coach in the Swac, there's nobody close, so talent will never be an issue as well as we had several 4 star players not eligible. Just be thankful y'all aren't on our schedule to get embarrassed. We beat teams in year 1, we will be blowing teams out in year 2

When it comes to black people who look down on HBCUs you have to always remember there we slaves who told on other slaves for running away. There were blacks who literally hated Dr. King for saying they didn't accept integration. There were black people mad because civil rights movement pushed for fair voting. I once heard a guy in the barbershop say he would rather his child sell dope than go to a black college. He said he didn't know anyone who has a good job who went to one. Growing up in Atlanta I use to hear certain black people call Morehouse and Spelman highschools. Yet they never went to college. Genes are a mofo. This mentality is passed on from generation to generation.

You’re spot on!! Genes are a MF

We have stop begging, and start doing the small things to win the battle. Look, let's be honest.

If we ever want to see these kids come to our schools. The first step is to start living in reality, and stop playing schools that we have no chance in beating.

When you are getting beat by 60-70 points. Kids are not coming anywhere near your campus.

We just had a kid from my hometown who is headed to an SEC school. Both parents are Alcorn grads/athletes. I am not sure if Alcorn spoke with him or not but I asked a few people around about the possibility and everyone kind of shrugged it off

They don’t want to get involved on that - we rather turn our cheeks and send them somewhere where they struggle to fit it so folks can bandwagon and be seen on tv wearing those shirts if he succeeds

But as soon as we mention a
Swac school or hbcu those same folks come out hating in milliseconds

BB,

Travis Hunter besides Coach Prime etc. will be one most important persons on the JSU campus. All players should be treated fair, however, in my opinion Travis must be treated differently. What is your opinion.

PS: Any JSU fan or hater is welcome to respond.
He won’t be the only 5 star coming. Also same way Coach Prime treated the four stars, if you practice great, you’ll play. If you come in bull jiving you’ll ride the bench. Travis Hunter is a once in a generation talent, many of y’all will see this come fall. Coach Prime will put him in position to get drafted like he did James Houston

I agree. He already is getting a WORLD of HATE thrown at him from the Caucasians, so we don't need to baby him, but we do need to protect him. He's still a child and probably don't understand that with THIS decision he maybe looked at as a "LEADER" with Coach Prime. And you all see what those Caucasians do to ALL our Leaders. (Ex. Malcom, Martin, Medgar, etc..)

Fred Hampton was killed at 21 years old. All these leaders had a different speech than Travis, but their underlining message was the same. Stay away from the Caucasians.

Listen, yall gonna catch these jokes. That's who we are. But I'm taking a break from them right now. In all seriousness, I'm glad yall getting 4 3,2 star kids. But yall do need to get those 5 star kids. Bring our children back home where they belong so they can be nurtured in a more better environment. I compare this to giving birth to a child and allowing someone of a different ethnic background to raise your child when they don't know what the physical and mental makeup of your child. My black doctor (who graduated from FAMU) once told me that those other ethnic groups don't know our makeup and can't really treat us the way we need to be treated when in comes to medicine. He told me that over 20 years ago.

And don't worry about their parents. Let me repeat myself. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THEIR PARENTS!!!!!! Cause the kid can lead their parents back home. Instead of only talking about how these parents got lost on their ways (Ex. HBCU parents sending their kids to PWI institutions), let's try to reach the parents through the kids. Bring the kids back and their parents will follow.

His skill set is impeccable.

Many eyes are on Travis and JSU. His treatment will be different than James Houston or any other player on that team including the Sanders'young men. His signing is bigger than just football.
