It was not renewed because he did not win enough games. AAMU was part of the string of losses. Had he won big time, Sanders probably would not be there.Hendrick contract ended.

All hbcu should have some discretionary money now that HBCU Financing Loans were forgiven. They can use that extra money to improve things.Dude Alcorn so broke, they wont be using that kind of money for football. They barely have professors.

All schools didn't have those loans. You all were among the lucky few. JSU didn't have any that I know of.All hbcu should have some discretionary money now that HBCU Financing Loans were forgiven. They can use that extra money to improve things.
Thats debatable.... lol (and all I will say)It was not renewed because he did not win enough games. AAMU was part of the string of losses. Had he won big time, Sanders probably would not be there.
I just thought of something. By dropping Alcorn and adding Jags to the schedule, our spring record goes from possibly 5-1 to sure 6-0.
When we have the parade celebrating the SWAC championship and breaking that streak at the same time. If you want to be the sideshow, you can march in it with a sign about the losing streak.
Hadnt thought about that Oracle.... we would have to replace opponents. We already play SU and I dont think they will allow that to be changed to a conference game at this point. So we would probably have to add TxSo.
Too bad. It would have be an easy conference win. If they add it as a game for us, then jackpot for AAMU. Lol...Hadnt thought about that Oracle.... we would have to replace opponents. That makes sense because of training staffAlcorns reasons for canceling the season is a lack of medical support and training staff... Players safety not just related to COVID.
None of that was headed for athletics....
COVID is just the underlying reason for Alcorn possibly pulling out. The primary reason is they are broke and nobody wants to work out there. Let them opt out but let's not let them change the narrative. They are just not prepared for a season. Their administration is in shamb
es and they only have one thing going right: FOOTBALL. So if they are willing to skip football that should tell you how fugged up the rest of the university is. Pray for them.
hilarious, money is the last thing on an Alcornites mind. If anything money has given us more flexibility
Plus that would be the headline on this website as well.I think fake news also as I searched websites, googled, natchez, vicksburg, Jackson, etc. newspapers, etc and saw nothing. Glad I did not spread further.
This coming from a bother school, that recently had to get a new President because the one in place at that time, was busted getting high, in a hotel with a prostitute. I didn't want to go there....but you went somewhere that you have no knowlwdge.Yall broke. That $25M is just catchup money to get yall out of a hole.

Wow, how quickly they forget...So you really want to discuss university financial crisis?

This may be a smart move by Alcorn for several reasons.
1. What is Alcorn football without tailgating and I expect to there to be many stipulations. when we went through those losing seasons with what's his face as coach, the grounds were full... they just did not pay to go into the stadium. And Alcorn makes a lot off tailgating, RV park, etc.
2. That virus is still out of control, and I don't think many players, students, would qualify for an immediate vaccine. Oh, and now there is another string of the virus out there.
3. Now the players have no excuse for not having there grades. A full year to concentrate on their grades.
4. Every time I got ready to watch a game doing the fall, I come in and see many cancellations. It got to come Friday, I was just betting on how many cancellations there would be. I expect the same to happen in the SWAC/
Once it hits the scoop its gonna happen and soon
