Vaccines do have side effects. All drugs in fact have possible side effects regardless of circumstances.

To cast that aside for the notion “it must be the druggy parents fault” is stooping to a whole new level of asshatery.

I get the side affects but like I said a lot of these parents lie. Many don't want to admit to smoking weed or smoking cigarettes while pregnant....and whole lot of other stuff.

In the late 80's and early 90's for some. Not all were changed but they started doing those combo vaccines instead of the individual ones. Not knowing how old you are but some will remember that one of the vaccines use to be this sugar cube type one that you had to take They took that away and combined it with another one.

I think the sugar cube was the diphtheria.

The current U.S. childhood immunization schedule for diphtheria includes five diphtheria toxoid immunizations before age six years, plus one booster dose for adolescents. (A toxoid is a toxin modified to invoke an antibody response, but not capable of causing disease.) All diphtheria immunizations for children are given in a single injection combined with tetanus toxoid and pertussis vaccine (known as DTP or DTaP). Adults receive diphtheria toxoid in combination with a tetanus toxoid booster, which is recommended every ten years. The adult product can protect against tetanus and diphtheria (a vaccine known as Td) or all three diseases (a vaccine known as Tdap).
 
Anti-vaccine folks are funny. Afraid of medical solutions tested by professionals who's livelihoods are on the line, but drinking, smoking and fuggin everything under the sun.

Why do folks get mad because other folks don't want to take vaccinations? Folks who don't drink, smoke, exercise and eat right die from the same things as other folks. Lol Ask the funeral homes.. Church folks die too.... I got a older family member who just turned 86. Every one in the family use to say he was going to be dead, yet he is still here drinking, probably still hitting his dope every blue moon and they are dead and gone. He doesn't go to the doctor nor get check ups and still kicking it. Guess he won the bet ....

A story about how ole PQUE played himself. My twin daughters loved Frozen I so part II was in the theaters during one of those school breaks. My plan was to take them to see it so they would be able to engage in discussions about the movie with their classmates and I would be Dad of the year. That part worked to perfectly. Then the movie was released on DVD. In my smart a$$ mind it would be a great stocking stuffer for them. I am paying the price for that decision via school closures 19. On a serious note I would do it all over again to keep my Family safe and sound be well all..@tiredofthatdamnmovie

Are anti-vaccine folks aware of all the diseases they prevent? Probably not... And many of them aren't just to protect the anti-vax folks...it's to protect the WHOLE population.

Here's how anti-vaxxers sound to everybody else:

"I heard thousands of people choke every year while eating, and hundreds of those people die. That's why I don't feed my kids. It's dangerous as hell and the government doesn't tell you that. Now plenty of people will say that food supposedly "prevents starvation" and that might be true, but its not fair to completely ignore the dangers like choking, allergies, gingivitis and garlic breath. I'm just sayin... do your own research and decide what you think is best for you and your kids. If you choose to give your kids potentially deadly food, that's your problem. But as a parent, I don't think the government has any right to tell me that I need to feed my kids."
 
Oh yell those folks are crazy. I see what you're saying now. I agree kids need certain vaccinations.

Most people think "vaccine" and automatically think of being shot up with that battered egg yolk looking flu vaccine. Nobody remembers smallpox, polio, rotovirus, hepatitis, etc...
 
Most of the whole stigma on vaccines to begin with comes from a fake report from a doctor that was banned from practicing for spreading bullshit rumors. And people actually willing to put their kids at risk for that... a rumor started by a quack. It took me all of 5 minutes to find out the backstory... i'd thank parents would at least make an effort to do the same.
