No he don't suck Beans. He can coach. Had JSU allowed him to run the offense his way. Yall should have fired McCall and let Germany help pick his own QB coach. Then your offense would have been better. McCall is your problem. Probably had issue with Mumme as well. Every time yall turn over the offense to McCall, it sucks worse. You would have been better bringing Asberry back on staff. Obviously SU had no problems scoring with Germany as the OC. Our only issue was him and our current OC who was Big Worm's guy. You can't have Co-OC's. LOL. Even the big schools usually have an issue with that setup. Egos.

Germany wasn't yall OC. Y'all even said that. And I have it on a good report from the barbershop guys, that MACK's our man!!!!

Germany was the OC. LOL. We just said Berry was calling some plays too. Wasn't like Chad wasn't the OC at ALL. LOL. Berry was just Big Worm's long time MEAC buddy is all. Chennis was the OL coach before Worm promoted him to Co-OC and that pissed Germany off probably. But make no mistake. Chad coached our Qbs and was the OC as well. He was there before Berry.

Put it to this way. Chad was the OC that coached Dray Joseph in 2012 and 2013.

I agree. He would probably do well as a position coach with a ceiling as possibly a Special Teams Coach along with resume proven skills as a recruiting coordinator.
 
A Jerry Mack hire would be a home-run.

I have not read this whole thing but JR, ya'll laughed at us when we hired Germany. By the middle of his first year, we were crying. Dude was trash. yall should take him back.

If we can get Mack, why look anywhere else? It would be foolish at this point for JSU. Its equivalent to not picking Comegy in 2003. Mack is still the hottest coach "available"...and by available, he may not be at Rice past December. If he wants to be the coach at JSU, this might be his last chance.
 
If they are looking for a staff I think could get it done coupled w/ staffers who know and can recruit MS, I’d go w/ aTm-Commerce’s Colby Carthel. They were d-II champs last year.

Secret is out. Have at it. I emailed him and cc’d our then “athletic director” and university president. I thought he was the right one for PV and the direction we needed to go.

I would love the Mack hire but it seems unrealistic. He is the OC at a FBS level school. As a coach, being a coordinator at that level is a succession plan to being a Head Coach. Any Success there then he will be in place for one of those FBS coaching jobs. Honestly, I don't know if he is ready to take a step back.

Desperate? Dude, do you know what the hell you're talking bout? Hughes got more than any JSU coach. Comegy got his salary supplemented to get his large salary.

Comes out of hiding* thank the good lord that wasn’t JSU football at all. I was at the church taking a collection for his damn buy out after that garbage Saturday.

Just saying JSU should have Mack on their hit list. But you are JSU and should have others on there just in case something breaks down with Mack. You never want to put all your eggs in one basket. Stranger things have happened in coaching hires. I assume Ashley R will do a complete search. He is a good cat.
