The coach did it to tell PV you need to offer scholarships and stop embarrassing the students

The truth be told though, at this point we probably need to find a way to get rid of Mississippi Valley and UAPB. This would probably adversely impact our SCG game though. We would all have 7 conference games and can schedule 4 out of conference games per year. As a courtesy we could play those two teams every now and then in out of conference games if we choose to.
 
If 3rd and 4th stringers are scoring on you it's kinda hard to fault the team that's doing the scoring. The kid who caught the last TD is a practice squad receiver and the pass was a 4 yard pass. UAPB tackled poorly and it went for 6. I went in and looked at the participation report and SDSU literally played their entire roster.

Idk.... Those test (scores) just makes our conference look bad.

You know what the crazy part is? If every individual on this board went out to there nearest football field and ran up and down the field by yourself you couldn't even score 90 points on a empty field. Smh

Yes, I know it's a hard decision. But sometimes, you just have to cut your losses and move on. The rest of us need to schedule better and improve our product. See NC A&T and PV as a good reference point. If a coach can't prepare his team and a poor effort, get rid of him (see Bama State).

You might be right... Valley the only school who hasn't won a Swac title since its conception.

Valley should have been in the SIAC a long time ago. And, probably would have won a few conference championships by now in different sports. There football team probably would have been better as well not having to conform to D-1 rules. UAPB probably should be in a NAIA conference with Langston but wouldn't have the cultural experience that they want.

What conference was Pine Bluff in before coming to the Swac?
 
For whatever reason(s), SDSU Head football coach Stiegelmeier chose to apologize for yesterday’s game. While I appreciate what he said to and about Coach Thomas and my team, he (Stiegelmeier) had absolutely no reason to apologize for his team doing what they trained and practiced hard for. Again, I never expect ANY of our opponents to show mercy. This is football, and while I love the display of athleticism bestowed among teams, it’s about competitiveness as well. It’s senseless to be upset at someone else when you can’t get your own work done.

Bama State did everything they could not to run the score up......we were that bad!! The starters didn't have their pads on in the second half. Most had their warm-ups on when they came out for the 2nd half...
