DPD Chief should have never turned it over to the TX Rangers...
I have taken a completely different approach to what Chief Hall (a Gramblinite) is doing. I'm not going into details, but I can assure you that she is NOT trying to cover for that officer who shot that man.
Don't get this shit twisted. I want justice for that brother. And it's my opinion that Chief Renee wants justice for that brother too. That's why I believe she wants the Texas Rangers to investigate. So that there is no need to accuse the DPD of a cover-up.
Historically speaking, whenever police-related shootings take place, it's the investigations led by the very departments who employ the accused that end up concluding that the officer was justified in any given shooting and recommend that charges not be filed.
It is MY BELIEF that this black police chief wants NO PARTS of trying to defend this white officer in her department who ended up killing an unarmed black man who was in his own freakin' apartment. That is why I believe she is giving the case to the Texas Rangers so that -- as she has already said -- the DPD remains transparent so that there is no reason to believe that her department is trying to cover shit up.
They did their job. Gave her the best possible chance of getting off.
And because it was turned over to the Texas Rangers, she had plenty of time to come up with her "story". She should have been immediately taken into custody by the DPD or at the very least been suspended without pay until DPD investigated properly.
I still want to know why she was not drug tested. If a Metro bus driver is involved in an accident no matter how minor they are drug tested immediately. Why is this not the case for leos? And because it was turned over to the Texas Rangers, she had plenty of time to come up with her "story". She should have been immediately taken into custody by the DPD or at the very least been suspended without pay until DPD investigated properly.
Disturbing but not unexpected. And now that the case is back in the hands of the DPD, the chief is talking about investigating the possibility of additional charges (murder) and other evidence.
She STILL has to do her own investigation after playing footsie with the Texas Rangers.
Even considering investigating to see if she can increase the charges tells me that she doesn't think the Rangers did an adequate job. And suggests to me that she knows the Rangers looked for ways to minimize the officer's culpability.
This whole charade is disturbing to watch.
Lets just flip the roles for a quick minute...
If the cop was a black male/female and the woman was white...
Do you think this shyt would have played out the same?
Just askin'...

she establishes in the affadavit that the door was ajar prior to her arrival. Shes the only one who would have known this. And yet she supposedly tried to use a key on a door she knew was already open? Im not buying her story to the rangers
She initially worked a 14 hour shift. Now its 15. Lol

It's all so ridiculous.
I personally don't believe the door was cracked. She will get ...resign from DPD....riots will be held...the black leaders will show up demanding justice. The police chief will resign. In the coming months his picture will be added to those who were killed by cops and she will end up being a Deputy Sheriff in some other location of Texas.
I have absolutely no faith in the judicial system.
My summary....
DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES.
