Does Mike Davis get a tech in every game he is losing ?
On another note I’m proud of Texas So... even though they are down by 18 this is a good showing !
A thing that prevents better showings from TXSU in the tournament is defense. The offense can score, but the lack of defense puts them in difficult positions. 102 to Xavier this year, 103 to North Carolina last year, and 93 to Arizona in a previous year in the tournament. TXSU's style is favored by the teams they are often matched against.
If they were matched up against Virginia, they probably would have given them some serious problems since Virginia doesn't really like fast-paced games.I said earlier that they are an average defensive team, and it shows. Additionally, they really had no real scoring threat outside of Jefferson. Others scored some points, but nothing that made a defense commit resources to stop them. Everybody on Facebook was talking about TSU slowing the ball up, yet that's not how they play. Their style is the same style that Xavier beat them with. All in all, good showing.

I didn't want to say all that, but you're 100% right. lolI don't know about that. UMBC played a lot more disciplined brand of basketball than TSU play.

Watching some of the game last night, I noticed how deep in the paint the Xavier bigs were allowed to catch the ball. There has to be some fight down there in the block to prevent that.
I was worried he was about to completely lose himself during the game at times.I will say this. Trae Jefferson is a high level D1 player. His attitude prevented him from playing at that level.
