College Football Playoff - The SEC is our overlords

Hurts is done in ALABAMA. He might as well transfer or go NFL now.

He was definitely done for the night. Shannon Sharpe feels that he is done at quarterback at Alabama. Unless he beats Tua out in the spring and I have my doubts on that happening, I am with Shannon. Saban will not have the offensive system that Bryant had at Alabama or Switzer had at Oklahoma during the '70s.

I think Jalen Hurts can still earn his spot back...spring ball is coming up...he has the tools to be the guy for Alabama, but he definitely has to put the work in.

Conference titles mean little to nothing when it comes to overall ranking. Especially in conferences with split divisions
The fact that they have split divisions is the problem on the sec and no one else. They knew what they had to do to compete for a conference championship and couldn't get it done. Was the sec too tough for big, strong bama? there were only 3 good teams in the entire league.

Alabama would have won the conference without split divisions due to head-to-head matchups.

Honestly if you look at it, most of the power 5 conferences were the same other than the Big 10. The other conferences had about 3 good teams at the top and after that a slight drop off. The SEC was definitely down compared to what we're used to seeing but other than the Big 10, it's about the same all around.

Hurt bring consistency to Alabama - I would not be surprised if they dont run some mix scheme next year. One game does not make a quarterback, you know after his first loss, they "fans" will be crying for a certain Hawaiian's head.

The SEC was not down... smh
You all need to go back and check the records. The SEC only has one or two or maybe three good teams a year. What sets them apart? Traditionally, one of them is in the national championship hunt. After the top 2 teams, the SEC falls off like anyone else which is why they dont do well during bowl season.
