Napoleon had hoped to use the fertile Louisiana territory to grow the food necessary to feed his Haitan colony in the Carribbean. But when Toussaint led the Haitian uprising and kicked his butt out of Haiti, Napoleon no longer needed the Louisiana territory, and thus the sale to Jefferson and Livingston for 15 mil {biggest real estate deal in American history). Andrew Jackson may have been popular in New Orleans, but he was hated by those of Cherokee and other native American descent after that forced march from Georgia/Alabama to Oklahoma.

The final game of the original series was played prior to the I-A decision/NCAA ruling...that year was actually the last time we’ve made the playoffs...Quinn Gray’s final season at QB.

Went up to Georgia Southern and got blown out after holding a halftime lead.

Also, from all the years of being at war with the British, Napolean needed the money to survive. Supposedly, there's a rumor that Native American Indian Reservation casinos don't accept $20 dollar bills because of what Jackson did to them in what is called "The Trail of Tears". I believe that is just a rumor because I have seen Indian Reservation casinos in Louisiana (Marksville, Kinder, Cypress Bayou, and Pollock) accept $20 dollar bills. I'm sure they are not turning down anyone's money no matter whose face on it.

Your lies and hatred is what makes you not credible. After losing horribly to FAMU in 99, the 2 continued to play each other home and home until 2001. Each conference changed the number teams we played after that.

The SU people at the time considered the streak broken. Everybody r embers the rant Pete went on talking about the advantages AAMU had because of our then new stadium.

The fact is y'all did not break our win streak because AAMU WASN'T in the conference officially. I don't care what SOME SU people said, WHAT DID THE SWAC CONFERENCE SAY?! I'll tell you what the conference said. Southern undefeated in the conference 3 years in a row from 97-99 & won Swac 3 years in a row from 97-99. 1999 is the year AAMU officially joined the conference. SMH!!

Conference expansion in the SWAC and MEAC ultimately killed it, along with the 9-game conference schedule.

You all could have kept it going. JSU and TNState never stopped and FAMU always had 3 open dates. I understand the 1-A move hurt the series but after that and NOW, there is no excuse.

By the time FAMU failed with their move, I think that’s when NCCU and WSSU moved up. Now that the SWAC and MEAC have equal teams, getting SU-FAMU back on track should happen in the upcoming years

But again, even if other teams moved up, FAMU always had 3 open dates to schedule OOC opponents. The MEAC never required them to play every school.
