Simmons stated that it will be a 5 year deal...which is pretty fair. Gives him a chance to get some classes in, establish some relationships and hopefully have some brand new facilities in place.

We keep giving three year contracts, which in hindsight, does handcuff a coach...we’re looking for stability and wins.
We haven’t been very patient with coaches at FAMU...we have to give Simmons some time.
