N. Carolina A&T has sold out its Celebration Bowl tickets





Man, the SWAC Championship is ours. We brought that into inception. Not ESPN, not anyone outside SWAC, us. Now years later we are taking away what we made for what........seriously? C'mon man.

If anything the game should be moved to the campus of school with the best record. No need to cancel anything. The Celebration Bowl is maxed out to what they are giving right now anyway. And the only way that payout goes up is if ESPN wants it to go up. Oher than that it doesn't matter what sponsorsorship come thru ESPN controls the bottom line and payout.

Hell the Celebration Bowl has already jacked the ticket prices over 35% to 45% from the ticket prices from the first year. The same section I got my $45 ticket in year one is now $75. The 50 yard line is $175.

Can't be the same section because it is a new stadium. Their club seats are at the lower level now.

Eliminating the SWAC Championship was a blessing because now more resources can be put in to the Celebration Bowl as far as the SWAC is concerned. Get those sponsors to assist with funding for more students to attend, lower cost for buses for other fans from cities.

Yet some folks are not thinking about that. LOL

If it’s that tight you could drive to Houston the day of the game and drive back. SU fans would have found a way to make all three, with no questions asked.

Nope....went to Bayou Classic. If I was going I would choose one out of the three. The issue is our schools can't afford to go and what by our schools is by the time students pay for a student sponsored trip to the Classic and then Houston they fresh out of money.

Cut out the SWAC championship and our school's efforts could be selling out the Celebration Bowl on our end.

The MEAC's season ended when again? How many games does GSU or SU would have had to play and travel to?

Also, you live in Houston right....and where was PV's last game....

Founder, everyone's season ended around the same time. Grambling and Southern are the only teams to play after Thanksgiving. This was a make up game for us and PV and Alabama State does not count. Give up the BC and this is not an issue. You would have your week of rest.

Just watch us do twice what you couldn’t once.

How many students rode busses to the Bayou Classic? Out of your 5k students how many do you estimate? How many would go to the SCG and/or CB for free?

Basing major decisions like this on what the impact is to the students is ridiculous. You won't get more than a couple thousand students MAX to travel to any of these games regardless of cost.
