I've heard it's around 5K. A $200k allotment. That averages to $40 a ticket.How many tickets were they allocated?

Those A&T/Meac folks on facebook with the insinuation for their allotment being sold out
So avg price under $17?It was the initial allotment of 12k...That's how I read a link about it. I don't remember where it came from.
How can someone that went to TSU call another team trash when you have not won 5 games in a year forever, now that is trash.Right, I'm not impressed with either team this year and Grambling is not deep so I can see them losing if key players are out the game. But then again Alcorn is trash and will have to play a damn near perfect game to have a chance which is very unlikely
WHAT?
Are you going to either?
Did you go to either one last year?
SMH
SMHNope....went to Bayou Classic. If I was going I would choose one out of the three. The issue is our schools can't afford to go and what by our schools is by the time students pay for a student sponsored trip to the Classic and then Houston they fresh out of money.
Cut out the SWAC championship and our school's efforts could be selling out the Celebration Bowl on our end.
The MEAC's season ended when again? How many games does GSU or SU would have had to play and travel to?
Also, you live in Houston right....and where was PV's last game....

How many students rode busses to the Bayou Classic? Out of your 5k students how many do you estimate? How many would go to the SCG and/or CB for free?Man yall speaking like students got loot....LOL....
How many of you are going to the Celebration Bowl when your team is not participating...hell even the SWAC Championship. Yet, you all want to keep something around when there could be more money and sponsorships place in the Celebration Bowl. Forget the SWAC Championship game. LOL

I didn't ask about students, I asked about you....
I've been to every PV game (home & away) for the last 4 years. I been at the Celebration Bowl since it's inception and PV was not in it. There are a few of us in here that has done that to support the conference even if our school wasn't in the game. We fellowship and have a good time of it.
Now again, where were you for the SCG and CB......
There are plenty that have been going and is going to both......
Now where will you be at for either event?
At home like I said I choose 1 out of the three which best suits me and mine.
See you basing your decision on you and you alone without thinking about the entire fiscal well being of the conference as an entity.
Screw the SWAC championship game
Yea right....LOL...look there are too many of you all brainwashed that the SWAC Championship game is worth it.
It wouldn’t have mattered with SU fans.Nope....went to Bayou Classic. If I was going I would choose one out of the three. But you're not supporting it or the Celebration Bowl.
How is your school suppose to benefit from it if it's own alumni don't support the events it's in.
SCG sponsors are different from the CB sponsors. ESPN is making all the sponsorship money off that game. Also as I said earlier... you could offer a free trip to the CB for students and you'd still only get a couple thousand.See I’m not concerned about myself but those who cannot afford it and want the experience...
Eliminating the SWAC Championship was a blessing because now more resources can be put in to the Celebration Bowl as far as the SWAC is concerned. Get those sponsors to assist with funding for more students to attend, lower cost for buses for other fans from cities.
Yet some folks are not thinking about that. LOL

Yes. But my main reason for this discussion is to point out that the "strain on the students" angle is irrelevant. So would like to keep the SCG?

School is out at least a week before the CB. Do the schools offer a package from wherever the students live? Do they keep the dorms open longer for this transportation offer? The strain of the student is extremely relevant. Case and point each and every school is well aware that there will be a Celebration Bowl. Why not plan for it early by every school in the conference offering transportation discounts and hotel discounts specifically designed for students. Instead of having just GSU or Alcorn students there the conference could have students from all the other 8 schools.
Eliminating the SCG allows for this additive.
