Has anyone seen this video? I'm the only see how he's pandering and LYING to black high school athletes ... UT is so freaking white and blacks make up less than 5%. He purposely excluded white people out the video LOL

I've been to UT and I counted on one hand how many black people I seen the few hours I spent on campus. It's definitely not a place I would consider to be a safe space for black men, especially black men who don't understand institutional racism and race exploitation.

You could definitely get the wrong idea, looks like he shot this video with just the football team and looking like athletic party events wow

No it wasn't just the football team in the video. He clearly was trying to make UT look more black than it really is ... propaganda and I'm sure it'll work b/c most people are stupid and easy to fool.

*You didn't see the only black cheerleader to be featured
*The black students in the stands dancing which I never seen when I used to watch some of their games on TV as well

I don’t see a problem. He’s marketing to appeal to physically gifted hip-hop negroes.

Funny, yeah I understand he's trying to win games and the best athletes are black men but I'm still gonna call him out his BS. He's lying to these young men, UT don't get down like the video suggests but of course they won't find that out until they sign the scholarship and is settled in on campus (too late). One of my best friends went to UT and she laughed at the video ... she said herself UT and Austin is quite boring for black people who enjoy black culture.

And have you seen our HBCUs try to make our school look more white to recruit the best soccer, tennis, golf, and softball players ... think about that.

Right. So what’s the problem? He needs the biggest, fastest, quickest, strongest, and academically capable colored negroes to help him and his family live that millionaire lifestyle. Would you not do the same? Exploit the naively weak for your personal gain? lol Who knows... maybe herman will get Slugged out about the mouth and start shuckin’ and jivin’ so the more typical colored negroes will voluntarily enter into his web of deceit moreso. ::read::

I wonder what it is like for our multi thousandaire a year coaches to live in a nice home and buy their kids cars in highschool and what not, on the backs of those same colored negroes children!

You could always just step your own school's game up and recruit the kids that they do. Texas is a flagship university with the best facilities (by far) in the state and one of (if not the highest) athletic budgets in the country. You can call it what you want, but it's college athletics.

It's business. Never EVER personal.

Well atleast Tom Herman isn't wearing that grill like he was when he was at UH. I guess they edited out the part where they throw the bleach at the UT Blacks??? If Black folks are still falling for these types of moves( and we know they are) then oh well. What can you do?

I know you're being joking but no I would never exploit people for fame and riches. First, I don't desire to be famous or rich but if it was to happen I would use both to help the less fortunate, again not exploit them.

I'm actually offended by the video for a number of reasons.

It doesn't mean we should remain quiet and not call him out, somebody will listen ....even if it's only 1 out of say 50. I just hate the video so much now that I watched it again and think more about the problematic things about it.

Today's kids and their dumbly blind parents are so mesmerized they could care the hell less what someone like you or I thought on the matter OR what was actually "right" vs "white." It's business, never personal. :D

I've seen parents who received NO OTHER opportunity except at an HBCU as that HBCU pays the bills for them to live nicely etc. When it comes to the kids they magically forget about that and more hyped up than the own kid. That's why the transfer rate is high now because it seems like kids don't make those decisions anymore.

With the Internet the parents, coaches, teachers and other mentors could tell the kids what the truth really is. Or let me say it this way. They could if they wanted to do it. Anyway, this is not exactly new, and we are not the only ones who noticed it.

I thought that UT had more Black students in percentage than A&M. I was right, but it is closer than I originally thought.

UT-Austin enrollment

Texas A&M enrollment

Texas A&M(3%) did not surprise me at all. UT-Austin(4%) like yourself, EB, that surprised me a little. I guess I should not have been. Now, my question is, what percentage of that 3% and 4% are athletes????

I laugh at the PWC alumni talking about "homecoming" and kickin' it at their school for the weekend knowing homecoming is not the same on that level compared to ours.

Didn't surprise me at all. I've always known that both schools are similar when it comes to the percentage of Blacks. U.t. only gets to play it's "diversity " card due to having more Asians and Hispanics.

Parents gotta get that TV time with the new tee shirts
