Understandable....yet could the promoter have contacted ESPN or a network to try and have them to carry it? I'm not up to speed on the policies so help me out.

I just think that over the last 2 to 3 years this game has been a big game for the conference.
 



GSU, PVAMU set for big State Fair Classic match-up

Grambling State marched into Solider Field, beat Clark Atlanta, and marched out in the same poll position. Now, staying still is better than falling, but the tigers maintained their No. 19 ranking in the FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.

The G-men could make some moves if they take care of business this weekend. However, it'll be tough as they participate in the 94th Annual Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic Saturday in Dallas' Cotton Bowl stadium, of course against Prairie View A&M.

The rivalry has been very competitive since 2008. Grambling has the slight edge with five victories over the last nine meetings. Even more, the winner of this contest always becomes an early SWAC West champion favorite.

Who has the edge

Offense - Prairie View A&M. The Panthers are 37th in total offense (415.2). They're averaging 36 points in two conference games, and 5.2 rushing yards on the season. The team's top three rushers all average at least 5.4 yards per carry, led by Dawonya Tucker (44-240, 4 TDs) and Sta'Fon McCray (40-220, 3 TDs).


Defense - Grambling. The advantage is slight going in, but the Tigers held Prairie View to 289 yards and 14 first downs last season, and they're stout against the run again, holding opponents to 70.4 rushing yards per game. That ranks seventh in the country. They're also a little better on takeaways, with 13 on the season, including eight INTs.

I'm rethinking some things....I think the score will be 13-10 GSU with halftime a score of 10-10 and GSU kicking a field goal late in the 4th. PV will still have possession at the end of the game.

I knwow it sounds crazy but this game is either going to be a low scoring game or a high scoring shoot out. I don't see either team blowing each other out.
 
I don't know Found. Coach Fobbs and staff has coach Simmons and staff's #. Also, Gram has the mental edge, imho. We have enough physical talent to win the game. The bigger question that requires answering is do we have the mental toughness to endure the firestorm that we know Gram will unleash.

Martez Carter comes with a killer instinct every game. If we come out passing it will definitely open up the run. PV will back in to a zone defense which will give Martez almost an open field. Kincade is most always in the shotgun giving Martez a chance to either run on pull out on a screen pass.

This will be a fun game to watch.

We haven't played zone defense all season, even against Sam Houston. Our CBs and depth are good enough this year to go man-to-man the entire game. For the first time in years we have no dropoff between the 1s and 2s.

I personally do not believe we have been utilizing our entire playbook because of Prairie View.

Was just commenting on that at the last game. Very few times after that first game I've seen a receiver running free. There weren't many in the first game to begin with.
