Let's Talk Prairie View v. GSU

Whether some like it or not this is the biggest game of the conference this week.

I noted on another thread that GSU will win 20-17. I think if our offensive line wakes up and plays like they played against Northwestern we will be ok.

Your thoughts....

Finally. :D

Our DL is 2-deep legitly good. They really get after it. Our secondary was an experimentation the first 2 games vs what and who we see the last 2 games. We are pretty sure GSU will stretch the field w/ the long balls and we expect Mr Kincade to buy time w/ those gifted feet he possesses. IMHO, he hasn't had that signature breakout game yet and in front of his homefolk, I'm sure he will be amped to show big in his last year. I do believe we have the defense to stop the talented and gifted GSU offense.

Kincade needs protection. PERIOD.

B-Weezy

Also we have a hell of field goal kicker. Named "Money" Mark Orozco

Longest kick in 2015 for 55 yards. Put him anywhere inside the 30 and he's money!!!! That's the SWAC's biggest problem. Our teams get to the redzone and can't get points on the board because we experimental kickers.

Well our Freshman kicker has been lights out this season. He missed his first FG attempt last week. We have a steady foot back there for the next 3 years.

It's going to be a good one.

After this weekend the next two weeks have a game just as big.

But this will be a close contest. Gram needs there WRs to step up this week. And if PV can get their offense to cut down the turnovers and keep the ball moving we will be in for a damn good show.

This will be a great game. I saw PV. They look to be in mid season form. Our young o-line verses their front seven. Will be want to watch. If we are able to get Carter in open space, he is dangerous at any level of competition. He is usually good for at least two big plays. If Kincade and the young WRs can get on the same page, we will compete. Our defense is what they are. They just need to get off the field on 3rd down.

I actually think PV will finally win and get over the GMen jinx. Simmons is the best coach in the SWAC and doing a great job at PV. Nothing negative against PV, but not many coaches could do what Simmons is doing at PV. If you are a coach at Southern, Grambling, or Jackson St and you are struggling, that's a shame. PV will get over the hump and win by 10!

Watching the game in Chi-town, the G-Men looked like the D2 school against CAU. Although the size difference was apparent along the lines, the G-Men played like the smaller fighter (to use a boxing analogy). O-line was particularly disappointing as we averaged just 2.6 yds per rush on 28 carries. We need a hell of a week of practice to perform to Grambling standards.

Ultimately, it will be close, but Kincade will not lose in Dallas, TX. He will be the difference because of the adrenaline rush of being home and his will to win.

Sorry brother but these are the best two teams in the SWAC and really sets the tone for the west. Yet, I understand your point about the next two weeks.
