Nope. This is not true at all. In the Den, the sentiment was Germany got fired for being stupid and that he wasn't going to run the ball. Which, proved to be true. Dude is another Mike Martz.

First of all let me stress that I don't know very much about football! I've been picking against my team for quite some time, but that was because I've been going by what I've been seeing for the past 2 seasons.

Now, on to your question. I'm not exactly sure as to what you mean by "a numbers perspective". We were able to get back to being a 63-scholarship team due to a couple of fundraisers and that $900,000 grant from the NCAA. And I don't know how our depth chart looks. During the 1stQ of the game, I saw what I've been seeing over the last 2 years; defense not tackling worth a flip, giving up way too many yards, and our offense doing the same 3-and-out on downs. HOWEVER, I also saw a lot of good things. Last night was the first time in YEARS that I saw my boys score in the 1stQ of the game! I saw our offense go with the no huddle, something that is EXTREMELY rare for us. While it came during the 3rdQ, I saw our coaching staff ACTUALLY make the necessary adjustments that ACTUALLY paid off. I saw that we had a longer TOP than usual. And I saw something that I never thought I'd ever see Coach Coleman do again......GO FOR THE 4TH DOWN!!!! I was totally shocked when he went for the 4th the first time, but when he went for that 4th and 7 and we converted on a 10+ yard play, I almost passed out!

But we still have such a long way to go, a lot of work to do, and a short time to do it. I'm still not convinced we're where we need to be, but I think all I ever really wanted to see was my boys put forth a real, concentrated effort. I can honestly say that if we never win another game this season, it wouldn't matter to me because I finally got to see something I've been waiting for a long time to see..........one game where my Golden Lions didn't give up!

Thank you brothers. This was the first game I've been able to attend. I've been so busy with ministry work, my alumni chapter, and working 2 jobs. I started to back out of making this trip because I just wanted to rest, but I had to put my eyes on my boys. So glad I made the trip!:)

Thanks V! That means a lot coming from another RIDE-OR-DIE-FOR-MY-SCHOOL fan! But I don't think we're where we need to be. We have to play AAMU next and I still have my doubts about my team. I love them, but I still have some "trust issues" with them.:)
 
Man Germany had his moments but Germany didn’t fumble that read option that was lyles. Germany didn’t tell Lyles to throw some of them balls. Lyles QB IQ Is horrible. Germany play calling is horrible too but Saturday Lyles messed up bad I just feel like this a 2009 year defense is good but no offense. JSU needs to learn to FINISH 3 straight close games and all lost
