Planet of the Apes (new movie)

The directors, one of the 3 I named, stated that the apes represented the black race, you can google what he stated.

Breh most of those humans were "white" hell the leader was Woody Harrison Lol.

But yall can shoot down the talking points I made, no worries, I was just stating what I thought and also what a lot other folks have been saying about the movie.

the apes in my opinion represented "oppression" which is something the black race continues to face. See you are looking at it as a Ape being some being incapable of being intelligent. Yet, some take it to the other extreme. In every movie the Apes were oppressed and fought back. In the final Planet of the Apes; the Apes became the intellectuals teaching society how to live in peace and intellect.

I red about the movie on wikipedia and technically the Apes survived which will began a long life.

If you are going to push racism in this movie then you definitely need to look at African American shows that examined blacks in a positive light that were cancelled. I'm more concerned about that rather than one movie.

But the fact of me pushing race isn't coming from me, the original directors and writers made the series surrounding race and you can google where these directors stated this about the movie and its correlation to race.

I made correlation without them. As I stated before I didn't feel that they were using the Apes to refer to blacks in a negative manner but utilized the entire movie to show how an oppressed group responds to the oppressor when there are no more laws protecting the oppressor.

The original directors are all dead and had nothing to do with these movies. It seems as if the current directors made the story this time so that you couldn't attach just a single group to the apes.

The apes are closer to Mexicans and Muslims this time than anything. They were told that they were not wanted but at the same time made to build a wall to keep the "outsiders" out.

I don't want to be rude but this comes off as if you took someone else's talking points and didn't even consider that they might have been wrong themselves. You created a judgement of something that you admitted that you haven't seen and just took someone else'e word for it as gospel.

At least some of us are on the same page. When the wall was being built, I too thought of the Latinos and Muslims.

I was falling asleep throughout the movie until the parts dealing w/ the hip-hop ape/his demeanor/style of dress, the camp w/ the "hanging" apes (stretched out), and build wall deal occurred. I even balked when the soldiers stood @ attention to trump, I mean, Woody's character as they did that silly pledge deal. smh

In the end...who was left standing?? The apes...and 1 special ed white girl...

To be honest, this was the most boring P of A movie I've watched....long period of just dullness...

This reminds me of the dope from black Lives matter, he thought the ape with the blue jacket was making fun of him. :D:D:D

He did not see the original, was made before he was born, I guess the were psychic, and put a character in a blue jacket. ROTFL

The world is all about him. :D:D:D
