Well I enjoyed this "movie". Great closure to a trilogy.
You knew what it was before you watched it. Why subject yourself to something that already showed you the contents before?

Wait you have NEVER seen a Planet of the Apes movie? Not even the old ones?
I'm not too fond of the new ones...I'm a old movie cult classic guy. The old ones never explained really how the apes came to power or how humans became a lower level species.

This movie gives you what the old ones didn't as to how the apes came to power and humans became a lower species. It didn't lead straight into the old ones but it gave you the foundation of the storyline.

The writers and directors said that it was about race.

They did this in the second transformers movie. They even did it in the childrens Trolls movie. Even watching The Lion King, what do you think the "forbidden elephant graveyard" represented? Who were the hyenas representing?
I mean I can go on and on and on and on with so many movies it's a shame. But it's movies. Nothing I can change myself.

I already know all of this. That's why I gave you the tidbit on MLK. He was killed not even a full two months after the original movie came out.

They were no apes in the movie hung, they were crucified. They were crucified so that they would die slower and serve as a message to the other apes.
No one. There best part about the story is how the apes aren't really the focus. The real story is a renegade military unit trying to force there own rules.
Yeah, it was. But the movies take place in the woods in California. There are not a lot of black people there now.

The directors, one of the 3 I named, stated that the apes represented the black race, you can google what he stated.
Breh most of those humans were "white" hell the leader was Woody Harrison Lol.
