Bama State, AAMU to Join MEAC

The difference between AAMU and JSU is LOT of things like our band battle, playing ANOTHER nationally known HBCU, making money and playing in from a fans who care about football. We bring waaaaaaaaaaay more fans to Memphis than they do. they lucky we still entertain them. That is why FAMU kicked them out of the ATL game.

If they told JSU they wanted them for all those reasons, they lied to JSU. All they want is a sure and easy win.

Don't be so mean...We always had time for a big time C - USA team that still played in the SWAC.

JSU should have joined conference usa. they'd be america's hbcu and be beating the daylights out of usm, uab, memphis, and ole miss on the regular.
 



I cant speak for AAMU, nor would I try to do so. But the shade at ASU, ok so perhaps we have not won the football championship in a while and we have hit a lull in men's basketball the last couple of seasons but damn did we not just get our 4th consecutive Commissioners Cup? Ijs, the overall look of our program is kinda nice right now. With that said, both schools would be crazy to make any kind of move like this.
 
Ya'll know Loud Mouth Jay Walker want to see them fine honey bees in his conference.

Football is driving conference expansion now.

That is true for FBS/POWER 5, FCS not so much. Because of the fewer dollars that tend to be out there for FCS schools in sheer terms of football, FCS conferences have to look at overall items such as reductions in travel cost for entire programs, will potential schools generate additional interest from current conference supports etc. Moving does not benefit either school. The cons and cost outweigh anything that can be gained from this kind of move right now.
