Bayou Classic VS Magic City Classic

Sting until Alabama St and AAMU make CONSISTENT noise in the SWAC the MCC will be a day event. Look the reason why the Bayou Classic is a bigger event is because usually over the last few years it has decided who West Champion was....the MCC really does not do that because of much of the season left.

To me in order to make it bigger AAMU and Alabama State need have a winning record and the game moved to Thanksgiving Weekend. Then on a CONSISTENT basis the game should serve either as a tie breaker or a decision maker on who goes to the SWAC Championship.

This right here killed your whole argument. Not sure how you figure that it's just a day event when there is so much more that goes on throughout the week. Let's be serious, a lot of people that tune in to watch the Bayou Classic don't know about the records, key players, etc. So that would be a weak reason to say it's better.

Looks like a day event to me. If I was a tourist and had to compare events to visit I would choose the Bayou Classic based on event listings.

What would that prove? Lol, you stated you'd chose the BC based on the events but clearly didn't know that the MCC had that many events. Now you want to talk about moving it to Thanksgiving Weekend.

The MCC is nationally televised on a tape delayed basis. Because the game happens in the middle of the season when a lot of major conference games are played, there is not of openings to.televise FCS games.

So that's the excuse....man come one...place it on a weekend when it can be televised.

Amazing! Mr. Sting is shook up due to the Tuskegee diss, but the fact remains that the great/impressive attendance numbers for the MCC hasn't made the game the most popular. He can't handle it. They need to bring titles and defending titles to the table before they can make a claim. Now, I have to move on a find another thread before meacswac bruh responds and makes me look like I have no F'n life. Lol. I willl send him a personal message asking him not to go to the Bayou Classic this year so we can't have the same views. LOL.

The MCC game has been played on the 4th Saturday in October since the early 1940s. Many Alums of both school use the event as their annual reunion and come from all over the country every year on the 4th Saturday of October. That's why the attendance is consistent. Plus the Birmingham black community has bought into the event and look forward to it each year.
 



The Bayou Classic and Magic City Classic are the two best classics in the nation. Even more than that they are among the best black events in the country period. The Magic City Classic outdraws the Bayou Classic every year in attendance, but the Bayou Classic TV Ratings I believe are better.

But I'm partial to the Bayou Classic b/c New Orleans is way better than Birmingham for food (very important to me), entertainment, getting drunk (very important to me), top notch hotels and everything else. Also I'm a big fan of the Battle of the Bands on Friday night before the game which is something missing from the Magic City Classic

I'm happy to have the Bama schools in the SWAC. The Magic City Classic is a great event. Congrats to them on what they have been able to accomplish. I hope one day they are able to translate their passion for that event into the remainder of their seasons.

The MCC doesn't decide a thing because the two school's football programs are not renowned enough to draw the event LIVE! Not tape delayed etc....LIVE!

The Bayou Classic sells out New Orleans a city that is designed for large events.

Look the MCC is on the chit-len circuit compared to the Bayou Classic.

Hell the classic moved to Houston and didn't miss a beat.
