What are some of your most memorable SWAC matchups within the last 25 years ??

I have two that really stood out among the many great SWAC matchups even though they where recent.

1.) Jsu vs AA&M 2007.... Louis Crew Stadium..... The year Oliver bailed Jsu out of jail from A&M defense !!!! It was an exciting game and atmosphere.

2.) Jsu vs SU 2010....... Ms veteran stadium.... This particular year Wilson served as Jsu offensive coordinator and Casey "The White Tiger" was QB. 42 secs left in 4th quarter Jsu 42/ SU 38. SU goes in to score leaveing 23 secs and a new score of SU 45 to Jsu 42. Jsu receives ball back with only 16 seconds left ( human jukebox decides to play The Sonic Booms "Go Home" ) at the same time Casey finds a wide open receiver in the end zone to defeat SU 45 to Jsu 47. It was lovely hearing the Boom crank SU"s " Do Watcha Wanna" . This was a CLASSIC!!!!! It took SU fans and players ATLEAST 30 minutes to snap back into reality..... The SWAC is alright with me .

Way In !!!!!

Stick to the topic !!! This not the Smack Board !! Because if I reply to your comment like I want, this would really become smack talk !!!!

You have to have more than jsu games.... you didn't go back far enough for the real classics.
I said what are your most memorable moments. I personally enjoyed the ones I chose. That's why I asked about other peoples opinions on there particular matchup. It doesnt hhave to be about jsu. I hear my dad talk about the MVSU vs Alcorn game in 1984 alot.

This past MCC was one of the best comebacks in all of Black College Football.

Hell, it was probably the comeback of the year, HBCUs or PWIs.

We were DEAD in the water and snuck them boys.

Dude ain't nobody need you to post this video lol...Seriously though it was NOT the comeback of the year. It was a good game though. Looking forward to the Jenkins era.

My personal memory is the 1998 SWAC men's basketball championship. PV was down by 20 and came back to win. The next opponent was Kansas.

BUMP and BUMP again. LOL!!

What about A&M's Air-Dog? Is he in your top 5?
It's right up there with Gram's tampex commercial showing their greatness and Internet Pete saying somebody gonna get "imbarraseed" after crying that they had no lights and sewage problems at Mumford.

And here it is 2017....same song.

2014 Magic City Classic!

The MCC in 2014 was one heck of a game. At the time, I was primarily covering Alabama State, but I had to give props Alabama A&M for playing hard until the end in the comeback. And thanks for sharing my postgame report from the game. I haven't watch that video in a while.

Then the 2016 MCC messed around and topped the 2014 MCC lol

The 2003 Bayou Classic was the best SWAC game I've ever seen in person. Entering the contest, SU and GSU were #1 & #2 in the Black College Football National Football Polls and the winner of the game would win the SWAC West Title. A national television audience saw a shootout as Southern's Quincy Richard threw for 552 yards and GSU's Bruce Eugene threw for 409 yards. Pete Richardson and the JAGS road the momentum into the 2003 SWAC Championship and eventually won the Black College Title as well.

You have a good point! I had a feeling that the 2016 game was going to be superb because it was the 75th edition. Who knew that Bulldog and Hornet fans would be on the edge of their seats until the VERY END (of OVERTIME).
