Joe Mixon to enter NFL Draft

Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon flew to Norman on Monday, where he told OU coaches he was declaring for the 2017 NFL draft after spending two days after the Sugar Bowl contemplating his future.

And so ends Mixon’s strange three years as a Sooner.

Mixon explained this process with a release posted to his social media Thursday night, hours after multiple reports surfaced saying Mixon was heading for the NFL. Mixon said he wanted to let his coaches know his decision in person and tell them how grateful he was for their support through a turbulent college career.

“I admit much of that time was challenging,” Mixon wrote in his post. “I take full responsibility for that. That is why I promise not to waste the second chance that was given to me. I owe that to my coaches who believed in me, my teammates who stood by me, and the University that gave me an education that I will always be thankful for. I also pledge to use my own experiences as a platform to teach other young men never — and I repeat, never — to make the mistakes that I made.”

What did he do wrong other than defend himself from a person attacking him? What happened to HIS rights as a human being to protect himself from a drug addicted White woman who tried to choke and slap him?
In this particular case involving Mixon, the media is full of BS. Too many talking heads are afraid to speak the real truth on this for fear of a backlash and their bank account.

That's BS. Dude broke NO laws, except leaving the scene. The woman actually broke the law but she got off for some political correctness BS.
He should've filed charges against her for assault.

Every human has a right to defend himself if he/she's being attacked. You're saying that you shouldn't hit a woman if she's coming at you with a knife, scissors, gun, bat, glass, etc.? You can live by that theory, but be prepared to be seriously injured or die;

Based on the "men-shouldn't-hit-a-woman" theory, I merely posed that what-if question to you.
As far as the man is concerned, the woman's hands were her weapons. In that case by law, he didn't really need to see a weapon in order to defend himself.
He was the victim of the assault and based upon laws and statutes in every state, she should've been arrested and put in jail.
His rights shouldn't have been violated for the mere purpose of enhancing her's.

In reality, he taught her a profitable lesson. Don't put your hands on nobody, especially if that person's bigger than you and hasn't physically harmed you in any way.

Why couldn't she have walked away or not responded.?
History clearly shows that the onus is almost always on the Black man to walk away or be the humble person and ignore the situation.
Middle aged to old aged White men overwhelmingly seem to put the onus on young Black teenage or twenty something male to do the right thing, but when a White teen or twenty something does it, it's the "boys are just being boys" or it's hidden or he's given a pass, especially when it involves a White woman.
Why is that Kendrick?

Why charge both parties.? If it was two White women fighting, the White woman who threw the first blow would've been the only one charged because her attorney would've played the video and it would've been an open and shut case.

Because history shows men -- men of all races -- can't be trusted and are dangerous to women.

Women walk away or leave from abusive relationships and are statistically in more danger because their partner will pursue them with more effort and commit serious -- even deadly violence against them.

Women turn down advances of men on the street, at a club, or at a gas station, and the end up either getting attacked or killed for doing so.

It frustrates men so much they can't have dominion over women that they have enjoyed for so long.

It doesn't matter if it's Joe Mixon punching a white woman or Ray Rice punching a black woman, y'all will find a way to make the man "the real victim."

Some of y'all sound like white folks who are perplexed they can't say n****r in public like black people without criticism.

It's always been about men getting over on women. And successfully, too even when the men were clearly in the wrong. That's been the history of this world.

That's why the onus is on the man to walk away.

That made absolutely no sense at all. I saw a video on Facebook of a big woman (black) raping a man (black) in broad daylight on a sidewalk and folks recorded it while laughing. I've seen videos of little girls in school beating young men up. Punching and punching while the young man just walks away with no punishment. It's also been reported that physical violence that some women inflict on men goes unreported due to embarrassment and it not being taken seriously. It has nothing to do with "dominion" over women or getting over on women. It's about right and wrong. It's wrong for anyone (man or woman) to hit someone. If you hit someone be prepared to get hit back.
 
Bottom line he should have walked away and turned her in to the police. Just like a man has no right to put his hands on a woman in any circumstance neither a woman does to put her hands on a man.
