Why the Celebration Bowl is hoping Grambling wins Bayou Classic, SWAC Championship

Look man...you know damn well if that was GSU in the position that SU is in you would be saying the same thing. It's shameful that your athletic department fucked up your program. Simple as that.

please some of you straight up crying like a batch because you're afraid you're not going to win the others just petty jealousy like a bunch of women.

The rules have been in place decades before this happen and now you want to change the rules under the pretense you're concern about how the conference is going to look. You all aren't any different then the fake ass Christian's and Patriots that voted for Trump pretending that it was because the country is in such bad shape.

This article is totally ridiculous. Ken might as well just said "Why I want the SWAC to help Grambling out."

Just win the games like you suppose to and you won't have an issue. This is just simple baby whining because Alcorn has won the championship the last two years. No one and I mean none of you had an issue in 2013 when Alcorn was left out after beating both of the SCG participants. It is what it is. Handle what you need to on the field and all of this is a moot point.

If I didn't know any better Kenn I'd think you were backdoor begging the SWAC office for help. *snicker*

As long as they have butts in the seats what does it matter whose going? It would be a great win for our 4th place team to defeat the meac 1st place team.
The good news is that I know that you know I'm not that guy.

Maybe a SU win will force the SWAC Office to deny Banned Teams from participating in the SCG. They did it before.

Why? Base on what precedence?

How does that change the fact that the other team (Alcorn in this case) has a losing record and can win one game and go to the CB. That's their issue bud or at least so they say.

The actually remedy would be to let the teams with the wining record above .500 to go. That's what they want.

Until the SWAC Office implement that 6 win minimum for Bowl Games, Alcorn needs to do the right thing and pay for Grambling's football team to view the game in the Georgia Dome.

Was JSU banned from the SCG the year they were under APR violations? Alcorn will only have a losing record IF SU beat Grambling and beat Alcorn in the SCG. C'mon man, that is the worst case scenario. Doubt if it happens

I didn't read the piece that way. Thought it was fair and presented a a situation that I bet the folks in the SWAC and CB have thought about.

Probably because you're in your feelings and don't really know anything about football.

Feelings about this worst case scenario? Again, was JSU and SU banned from the SCG in 2011 when they were on probation? I'm asking the question!

I'm just lost as to why anyone would want Alcorn to represent the SWAC. They haven't beat anyone with a good record and some people want to say it would be nice if the 4th seed could go and beat the number 1 MEAC team. They can't even beat a top 3 team in the west. Alcorn doesn't even deserve a chance to represent us as a whole in the celebration bowl. If they could have shown something in the regular season then they would be deserving but now they are just getting a lucky second chance that shouldn't even happen.

@ first bold. They are the #1 seed out of the East. This is not a one division league like the MEAC. Don't use that logic to fit your narrative when Grambling's last title was won under similar circumstances as this year (the "4th" best team to fit your narrative)

@ second bold. According to who? Why don't they deserve to go? They are an eligible team that won their division so they won the right to be in Houston with a chance to go to ATL.

When did it become the thing to shade a (eligible) team to do what they were supposed to? Were we saying this in 2012? 2006?
