Biggest battle upcoming BOOMBOX CLASSIC Part 2 OR SU VS ALCORN???





SU vs Alcorn, I'm tired of the hype..until JSU get back to how they were in 2010, this battle will lose its intensity every year.

You talkn that shit about jau being better in 2010, but hell yall need to go bck to y'all 2006 season.su band now a days is like Donald trump. The only people who believe that garbage is music is people who know nothing about music and or didn't get a degree in anything ( hence graduated from SU ).

I marched in 2010 and it was just a decent year. Hence you know nothing about music because 2013 was the year of the boom and not 2010. The reason you like 2010 is because Mr. Murray had us JUST BLOWING which is similar to Su. So your comment on 2010 makes perfect sense.

Um......check yourself because 2006 was no where near our best. 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015 were all better in the stands than 2006. Our band plays different genres and has shown it play different styles as well. The arrangements are top notch, and they continue to push the envelope.

What he's saying is all Murray focused on was blowing. No musicality, technicality, no nothing. Just blow, blow, blow. We have a whole different band now that's way better than they've been before.
 
It must be hard to comprehend the fact that he didn't care about any type of technique or musicality lol. Other BD's did focus on that type of stuff while still focusing on cranking on yall asses too. That's the difference in Murray and everyone else.

THATS a lie, Liddell also focused on sound just as Taylor. THATS why Liddell favorite game and band was UAPB. THATS why the 5th between the two was so long. Gramham at UAPB played true music without all the over blowing. And dr liddell loved that. So Dnt talk about shit you know nothing about. And let's not forget, SU didn't invent cranking and wasn't the only band that had power. ANd you guys sound stupid to think you all did. JSU a always had the swag that other bands could only dream of including SU. THE differnece between liddell and taylor wasn't about the music, it was the field shows.

FUNny you mentioned 2013, just got through watching the SWAC championship and SU sounded a hot mess. If need be I can point out the times if u cared to verify. And please stop lying yourself about those damn arrangements because father I stretch IS THE HOTTEST MESS OF THE SEASON AND ITS NOT EVEN OVER YET.

I keep saying the same thing and be wondering what the heck he's talking about. 2010 was mediocre and Murray's no writing ass wasn't hitting on shit! This ninja stay talking about Murray! Murray shouldn't even be in a boom topic. This years band is the best besides 2013 and before that it definitely wasn't 2010. That band wouldn't even rank in the booms top 10 of all time. In all honesty i still say the jukebox was better under Mr. Jackson and i love any good band! Blind pride is something else! On another note,this edition of the boom would wipe the floor with Alcorn and that's a fact!!!!

One things for sure, SU created an identity decades ago that has not been altered (sound and field shows). We still use the same template. Can JSU or any other band say the same? We been doing what we doing son.
JSU started "beefing up" those brass numbers in 2000 (during Liddell's reign), so miss us with "Liddell cared about quality sound" argument. After the departure of MaGruder and Paul Adams, the Boom's signature sound and identity went out the window for years. FACTS.

If Liddell cared so much about the Boom's sound, how and why did he let Murray go and eff it up? By the way, the sound changed before Murray came along (he may have done MORE damage, but it was already effed). You clowns is lying to yourselves.

This dude said "beef up" in numbers like his band always been 200 plus lol. That's has nothing to do with anything and is a pretty stupid argument lol. Btw, SU ain't always sounded like y'all do now. Yall use to have a rougher more rugged brass sound that has been molded and shaped into what it is today so don't come in here acting brand new like y'all been sounding this way and nothing has changed when it's quite obvious lol.


Btw, we never said the 2010 Boom sounded "wonderful", we just said it put a foot in your bands ass and sent your BD home with a thumb in his mouth. lmao. #Facts
