I can only imagine the hurt in knowing that the 1970s, 1980s, & 1990s dominance is dead & that other SWAC schools kicking your school's azz being today's norm has to hurt. You all have my sympathy but I do enjoy the artifact lol driven SWAC history lessons. Maybe we can get folks from Paul Quinn in here to add historical value too.

I bet these numbers will be a lot different in the next ten years. The big three are not as dominant as they once were. An argument can be made that Southern and Jackson St. have fallen off in recent years.

One can argue that all three have had trying moments in recent years due to poor coaching hires. But for the most part, all are usually in the hunt when the coaching is just "decent".

Of course you can make that argument about the last two years. Had JSU kept Comegy, we probably would have won the SWAC in 2014. We about to get right back on track tho.... Before the last 2 years, we were #1 in the EAST 6 out of 8 years so how is that falling off?

You can look at the title of this thread, created by a member from one of the other 7 schools- he appropriately addressed us as "The Big 3". The Big 3 vs the "Other 7" is a state of mind that they cannot, themselves, suppress and it creates a level of subservism that they aren't even conscious of. If you choose to analyze it further....he said "The Big 3 vs the SWAC", as if we are somehow above the SWAC rather than a member of the SWAC. That is a deep rooted conditioning created by years of success at various levels.
I thought I'd never understand how it'd feel to be White in America. Until today. LOL. But I get it.
