I don't think Roy got out coached. Both teams played hard. Now those Refs were on some other stuff all night. Kid made a big time Steph Curry like shot. It's a heart breaking loss for UNC but hell they have sent folks home with heartbreaks over the years so they are bound to have one themselves.

I think it is a dislike for Roy is all. He was looking in disbelief on the non calls when his team drove the ball in the paint. Even that last put back by Paige could have been and 1.
That game was just a dogfight between the best two teams in the tourney. Fans got their money's worth watching it. Instant Classic. May be the greatest NCAA Final of all time.

I will tell you this. I love the way Villanova executed throughout the entire game for the most part. From a fundamental standpoint I saw some good stuff.
I am glad UNC lost but you can't put that on Roy. Just the nature of the game.

Most folks in the SWAC don't see this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ as exciting basketball, a big man that can not only shoot FTs @ a clip > 80% lol but also can drain 3pt shots @ a nice clip. They believe run and chuck it up miss an attempted dunk 10000 X while missing 9999 is "great and exciting" basketball. lmao How dumb. lol

Roy Williams was banking on overtime. Villanova went after the win in regulation. Williams had arguably the best front court in the tournament and he let Villanova take him out of the paint. NC made no adjustments to what Villanova was doing the entire game. Villanova had an excellent game plan. NC played as if they expected Villanove to just lay down...they played like it was a regular season game. Roy got out coached.

The man wasn't outcoached. It ain't like Villanova sucked and was a respectable opponent for UNC. Roy Williams and Jay Wright deserve more respect for what they have done for their respective programs.

It was a great game, Villanova is a class act, a team without NBA stars and bad attitude. A team.

Most lack perspective. Sometimes the other team just is better or executes better. That was Villanova the entire tournament.
I can't find fault in anything that happened.
It was a good game and both teams made plays down the stretch. It was that Nova made one more.

You are totally off base. Did you not see UNC go inside only to get no calls at times or just met up with good defense by Villanova. I didn't see where UNC played liked they expected Villanova to lay down. LOL. Villanova did what they have done all year. Nothing new. This is their MO. You must have not watched them all year. I did.
NC did make adjustments. But Villanova just played with grit. Also UNC missed a few FTs down the stretch that hurt them. Fouls hurt them as well. There were alot of fouls in the paint that got let go. If anything, Roy had his guards take advantage of Villanova expecting the guys in the paint. Hence Berry and Paige having great games. There were a lot of non finishes by UNC in pivotal stretches that led to the lead. Both teams left it on the floor. But Roy Williams did not get out coached. The way the game was called by the refs, it was nothing UNC could really do on that last play. The player took a low percentage shot to win the game. Wasn't like he hit a layup on a broken play on defense.
It was just a great shot by Jenkins. Carolina has nothing to be ashamed of. They could have given up with a couple of minutes to go and down by 6 or 7.
