Yep I agree. Looking at the teams Nova beat leading up to the Championship and how they did it says a lot.

NC did make adjustments. But Villanova just played with grit. Also UNC missed a few FTs down the stretch that hurt them. Fouls hurt them as well. There were alot of fouls in the paint that got let go. If anything, Roy had his guards take advantage of Villanova expecting the guys in the paint. Hence Berry and Paige having great games. There were a lot of non finishes by UNC in pivotal stretches that led to the lead. Both teams left it on the floor. But Roy Williams did not get out coached. The way the game was called by the refs, it was nothing UNC could really do on that last play. The player took a low percentage shot to win the game. Wasn't like he hit a layup on a broken play on defense.

It was just a great shot by Jenkins. Carolina has nothing to be ashamed of. They could have given up with a couple of minutes to go and down by 6 or 7.

Shoot at one point I thought Villanova was in dangerous territory to getting blown out when UNC started making all of those 3s, but they held it together. Jay Wright did a great job settling them down and not letting them get shell-shocked by the way UNC was shooting the 3.

But this is the thing. Nova beat UNC in the one area all of the experts thought UNC would expose them.......The paint. That was the key factor. If UNC dominated the paint then the outcome would have been different.
